Barry Manilow's 2025 North American farewell tour is set to be held from May 23, 2025, to July 20, 2025, in venues across the mainland United States and Canada. The tour has been titled The Last Concerts tour and will be held concurrently with the singer's residency shows.

Barry Manilow spoke about his on-and-off decision to retire in an exclusive interview with People Magazine website back in April 2023, with the singer having previously announced retirement plans back in 2014 and hosting his One Last Time tour back in 2016, stating:

"Well, I don't like sitting around watching television. I mean, I'm just one of the lucky guys that always has something. I've got two albums that I'm working on, then Radio City, and it just goes on and on and on."

The singer continued:

"I think by keeping working, you stay young, or at least you stay vibrant and your brain is always working. And that's me — I've always got something going on. You would think I'd be bored with this stuff, and I'm not, because the audiences just love these songs, and I'm so grateful for it."

In another interview with NPR on December 2023, Barry Manilow talked about his songwriting and recording, stating:

"I like emotional productions. I like to take a listener on a trip. I don't like, you know, a lot of the records that I hear are, like, one feeling. They start with a groove, and three minutes later, nothing has happened except a groove. I've never been able to do that. Some of them, I like that kind of thing, and a lot of people do it very well today."

Manilow continued:

"But that's not my thing. I really like for your heart to start to beat a little faster, and you're - I like to make you have goosebumps now and again. I like to convey the passion that I have for my music to you, the listener. And that's what I have always loved. And that's what I've always done with my arranging..."

Barry Manilow is best known for his early studio albums, such as This One's for You, Even Now, and Tryin' to Get the Feeling. Even Now is the most commercially successful album of his catalog so far.
