Coachella 2025 is underway, and festivalgoers are being treated to electrifying performances from some of music’s biggest acts. The festival, which began on April 11, 2025, will take place over two weekends—April 11 to 13 and April 18 to 20. So far, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan, Benson Boone, Zedd, Travis Barker, Juicy J, and Wiz Khalifa, among others, have performed for the crowd.
Lady Gaga headlined the first night of Coachella, and in true Mother Monster style, the singer gave fans an unforgettable experience. Gaga combined captivating costumes, stage props, choreography, and melodious tunes, picking from her old and new discography.

1) Daft Punk’s performance at Coachella 2006
Acclaimed Electronic band Daft Punk performed no other in the 2006 festival after releasing their Human After All album in 2005. The band enthralled fans with smash hits from their 2005 album, using special effects combined with their unique sounds and electronic beats. 2) Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac in 2012
Hip-hop took center stage at the Coachella 2012 events. Legends Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg performed nostalgic hits as they closed the Sundays of the festival’s two-weekend events. The multi-talented performer awed the crowd in stunning costumes from Balmain. She also dedicated her set to celebrating Black excellence by sampling Nina Simone and surprise performances from Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, and Solange.
4) Madonna's 2006 performance
The Material Girl hitmaker gave fans a surprise performance at Coachella in 2006. Madonna wasn’t scheduled to perform at the music festival but broke protocol and made history with her electric dance performance. The pop icon performed songs like Confessions on a Dance Floor and Hung Up at the Sahara Tent of the event, amongst other tracks in her 30-minute set.
5) Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s 2010 performance
Jay-Z made history as the first rapper to headline Coachella. The rap legend recruited none other than his iconic wife for a special rendition of the track Young Forever. Jay-Z had just released his 2009 LP and performed hits like Empire State of Mind, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, Takeover, and Run This Town. His set was a crowd-pleaser and is still talked about now.
6) Bad Bunny’s 2023 performance
Bad Bunny is regarded as one of the most famous Spanish rappers, and for good reason. The Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny In 2023, the Monaco hitmaker performed at Coachella, and he did it in style. Bad Bunny headlined the show and performed hits from his smash album Un Verano Sin Ti, like Titi Me Pregunto and Moscow Mule, among others. The Spanish-speaking rapper gave a two-hour-plus performance.
7) Kanye West’s 2011 performance
The Famous hitmaker got the crowd hyped up at the 2011 Coachella with well-practiced choreography, smooth rap lines, and guest appearances from industry heavyweights like Pusha T and Bon Iver. The rapper’s set list included hits like Gold Digger, All of the Lights, Power, and Jesus Walks. Although his performance was announced just 24 hours before the date, he delivered a performance that won’t be forgotten.
