H&M is marking the 20th anniversary of its famed guest designer collaborations with the re-release of selected pieces from its past collections. The Swedish fashion retailer will offer a curated selection of items, which were released previously and loved by the fans.

The first drop will begin in Paris Lafayette on October 24, with subsequent releases in major cities around the world till October 30. In a total of seven stores around the globe, the series of pre-loved items re-launch will take place. Some major designers featured in this re-launch are Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Rabanne, and others.

H&M X Guest Designers

H&M's designer collaborations started in 2004 with Karl Lagerfeld, who was the creative director of Chanel at that time. The initiative brought high-end fashion to a broader audience.

Over the years, this collaborative approach reshaped the relationship between designer labels and high-street fashion. The celebration of two decades of designer collaborations comes as part of the brand's efforts to promote sustainable fashion practices, the official press release says.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, the Creative Advisor of H&M highlighted the company's vision for these collaborations. Below is what she had to say about this celebration:

"Our aim was to introduce the world of fashion to consumers globally, while showcasing our connection to strong, thoughtful and original design. It connects to the fundamental ethos: that quality and creativity should be available for everyone."

The collections included in the re-release, span collaborations with a variety of high-profile designers. It includes Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Versace, Moschino, and Balmain, among others. The pieces come from collaborations that took place between 2004 and 2023. This will allow the fans of the brand to purchase iconic pieces that have a high demand in the resale market.
