International fast food chain Taco Bell is coming back with the massive hit Double Decker Taco and the Double Decker Taco Supreme-- but for a limited time only. Announced on October 9, the California-based chain will serve these tacos from October 10 through October 30 across the nation.

First introduced in 1995, the Double Decker Tacos were a permanent menu item till June 2006, however, were later discontinued. Since then, these fan-favorites have made sporadic returns over the years, such as for a limited time in December 2023.

Here's what Taco Bell is offering this month

The Double Decker Taco comes packed with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese alongside warm refried beans. The kicker? All of it comes wrapped in another, more softer tortilla.

The Double Decker Taco Supreme comes with the same thing, plus some diced tomatoes and low-fat sour cream. These retail for about $2 and $2.69 respectively. Last year, the former cost about $2.99, while the latter about $3.69.

Back in 2023, when the same tacos made an appearance, Taylor Montgomery, the chief marketing officer at Taco Bell, said in a statement at the time:

"The Double Decker Taco holds a deep space in the hearts of our Taco Bell Fans. The insane amount of love for this product from fans across our social platforms was impossible to ignore. We listened to what our fans wanted from us and knew we couldn’t deny them the joy of the Double Decker Taco any longer.”

Notably, these aren't the only things making an appearance this month, as the chain has decided to test-run the Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas. These will debut in Minneapolis starting on October 31. The dish is an ode to the classic Mexican al pastor recipe.

It comes with a new take on the chain's classic Cantina Slow-Roasted Chicken, immersed in a sweet and savory pineapple-chilli marinade. It's then served wrapped in some cheesy Quesalupa-inspired shells and topped with onions and cilantro.

As if that weren't enough, the chain is bringing back another fan-favorite: the Big Cheez-It menu items. This Taco Bell and Cheez-It collaboration brings forth a massive Cheez-It cracker, about 16 times the usual size.

It also comes alongside a Crunchwrap Supreme, and a Tostada, or can be sold separately. The solo cracker retails for about $1.

Just this month, Taco Bell also made headlines for having changed National Taco Day from October 4 to the first Tuesday of every October, making it an official Taco Tuesday.
