Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie of the Year” sneakers feature Golden Harvest and Sail makeup
The Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie of the Year” sneaker is made using suede and leather panels. The Sail leather foundation of the footwear is topped with the Golden Harvest suede panels. Firstly, the toe boxes of the sneakers are decked in sail leather, which is surrounded by Golden Harvest suede mudguards.
Further, the eyelets are also made using similar suede panels that are sitting on the sail leather tongue flaps. The tongue areas are finished off with black lace sets.
The branding accents of the shoe are placed on the tongue flaps and on the heel counters. While the former features a black and red Nike Air tag, the latter is emblazoned with a black Air Jordan Wing logo.
The midfoot sections are finished off with black swooshes. The inner linings of the sneakers are done using black fabric and to highlight the interior, Nike Air insignia is added to the footbed. Rounding out the shoe is the sail midsole, which is bonded together with a black outer sole unit.
The official Swoosh site emphasizes the beginning of the Air Jordan 1 sneaker style as Michael Jordan wore it for the NBA match:
“The first shoe to ever be worn in the NBA with multiple colorways, the OG black and red was originally banned for violating the league’s uniform policy, and was threatened with a $5,000 fine every game it was worn. The OG’s legacy lives on through the Air Jordan 1 Retro, honoring a legend that expanded the game’s creative potential and redefined basketball’s connection to style and culture.”
The anticipated “Rookie of the Year” colorway has a golden harvest makeup, which fans have already witnessed in some previous releases. Interested readers can also check out the Air Jordan 1 Low model in the “Ochre” colorway, which has a comparable design to the “Rookie of the Year” version.
Additionally, the suede makeup of the shoe would need extra care as compared to the leather body of the shoe. Suede is more susceptible to dust and stains in comparison to leather. Therefore, the buyers may take their decision accordingly.
