A look at Donald Trump's shift at McDonald's

Donald Trump first confirmed his plans to work at the Festerville, Philadelphia McDonald's restaurant on Tuesday, October 17, 2024. The Republican candidate was scheduled to take up the Sunday shift as a 'fry cook' and appeared at the restaurant with some security personnel.

As he walked into the McDonald's restaurant, Trump was seen wearing a blue suit, a red tie, and a white shirt. The presidential candidate walked to the store owner, Derek Giacomantonio, and informed him that he was there for a job. Trump also told the owner that he always wanted to work at McDonald's.

All set to take up the shift, Donald Trump removed his suit to put on a yellow and black apron. He then moved to the kitchen and was assisted by a McDonald's employee who told him how to fry the crispy golden french fries. Trump was seen putting the potato fry basket in the piping hot oil and then taking them out once they were done.

Following up the instructions from McDonald's staff, Donald Trump salted the fries and put a considerable amount of the crispy goodness in a fries pocket. With the fries hot and ready to be served, Donald Trump handed them to customers through the drive-thru window.

Donald J. Trump seemed excited about his McDonald's job on Sunday and was seen speaking in the video:

"This is fun. I could do this all day."

Apart from the people purchasing at the drive-thru, several people gathered around the restaurant to see Trump working at the fast food chain. The former president did not shy away from appreciating the audience and was seen waving at them.

Several users on the internet have tweeted unverified pictures of a notice claiming that the Festerville restaurant was closed to customers during Trump's visit. The picture was followed by videos of people allegedly rehearsing the drive-thru entry and exit at the restaurant.

Neither of the pictures and videos have been verified to be related to Trump's McDonald's shift. However, Kamala Harris has strongly responded to the jab and called it Trump's desperate attempt.
