Hollywood star and well-known environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio endorsed Kamala Harris for her presidential campaign. In an Instagram video, DiCaprio encouraged people to take action on climate change.

DiCaprio's endorsement, though serious, has stirred up discussions not only of the political kind but also initiated light-hearted jokes and banter about his love life. Leonardo DiCaprio has been recognized for dating younger women and for not dating any woman over 25 years old.

One X (formerly Twitter) user cheekily pointed out, β€œFirst time he’s chosen a woman over 25… but I’ll take it!”

Fans and critics soon took the opportunity to joke about Leo’s unique dating pattern.

Another user went on to state, β€œHe heard people saying Kamala 24 and got a little confused. It's okay.”
A user posted, β€œShe’s not 24, Leo”.
Humorously, a user went on to ask, β€œLeo chose a woman over 25?!”
A comment read, β€œDoes he know she’s older than 25?”
β€œJust wait till he finds out how old she is”, read another comment.

The endorsement announcement

In the Instagram video, he said,

"Climate change is killing the earth and ruining our economy; we need a bold step forward to save our economy, our planet and ourselves."

He specifically commended Kamala Harris for her party’s ambitious climate change agenda. This vision includes achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and her role in passing the Inflation Reduction Act, which seeks to bring the country as close to net zero as possible.

In the endorsement, DiCaprio did not hold back on criticizing former President Donald Trump. He highlighted Trump's stance on climate change and his exit from the Paris Climate Accord and painted his performance as an approach that β€œcontinues to deny the facts and science.”

DiCaprio’s dating history has grown nearly as famous as his filmography. Examples include Gisele BΓΌndchen (when she was 18), Bar Refaeli (who was 20 at the time), and Camila Morrone, who crossed the line of being "too old for Leo" at the age of 25 in 2022.

The internet has taken note of this pattern, referencing it as Leo’s Law, which purports that DiCaprio’s girlfriends are rentable for the same length as cars. From memes, jokes, and even fake infographics, his breakups are humorously and endlessly reported around his 25th birthday mark.

So, DiCaprio’s endorsement may have sparked discussions about climate change, but it’s also given his fans another fun twist in his ever-fascinating public persona: This might just be the only 25+ endorsement Leo has given!
