Blake Lively has made a return to the internet headlines after the first trailer for Blake Lively's 'A Simple Favor' hit on social media. As Hollywood keeps delivering sequels, one after another, and in the curious case of the Fast & Furious franchise, so many so fast that it leaves fans furious, it seems it is doing us a favor.

But Hollywood has no plans of stopping that as it insists on doing one more favor for us. You would never guess it, but it seems we are getting a follow-up to the 2018 film A Simple Favor. As the first trailer dropped, netizens could not help but ask, again, “Do we really need this?”

"Do we really need a sequel??"

In the 2018 film, fans witnessed Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick go wild, locking their horns in a battle of wit and deception following a missing person case, wild enough to do so in super nice chic outfits.

But witty movies have wittier fans, who took to social media to humorously participate in a contest of deciding what the sequel should be titled (without much heed to the plot or story whatsoever). One Redditor calls it A Simpler Favor, while another replies with A Simple Favor: Far Too Simple.

Hollywood has a track record of doing sequels that have a range broader than the color spectrum of the human eye. On the one hand, we have Christopher Nolan’s masterful storytelling in A Dark Knight outdoing its predecessor, Batman Begins.

On the other hand, let us not forget that a sequel to American Psycho exists. We also have sequels that insist upon themselves and will not let us forget that they exist (looking at you, Star Wars).

The challenge here is that A Simple Favor had a neatly wrapped-up ending. Stephanie (Kendrick) figured the case out, Emily (Lively) fashion walked to jail (only she can make a prison outfit look designer), and everyone moved on. That begs the question: What now? Is Emily going to set up a fashion event at the prison, or will Stephanie get involved in some other case?

Oh, Hollywood, will the favors ever end? But we are not complaining!

Well, who can complain when we get more of Blake Lively’s chaotic shenanigans and Anna Kendrick’s awkward espionage? Now that we talked about the duo, let us look at what all are netizens saying on this buzz:
