The world's tallest woman and shortest woman met for a cup of tea for the first time in London this Wednesday as part of a Guinness World Records event. The former, Rumeysa Gelgi, measures a whopping 7 feet, while her counterpart, Jyoti Amge, clocks in at 24 inches.

Images of their meeting broke out on X, and many users couldn't help but notice the way Amge was positioned over Gelgi's lap. Several online began jesting that she was clutching the short woman like a doll. Here's what one user said, to be exact:

"Why she carrying that lady like a toy."

Several more had a lot to say:

"This is so cute actually," one user noted.
"She looks like she’s holding a tiny doll," another echoed.
"omg, like having tea with a doll that came to life," someone else joked.
"TWO QUEENS," a fourth user exclaimed.

More and more joined the discussion:

"These queens united for a shared slay. That’s pure power," one user asserted.
"I'm glad they met and got along? But the little one looks like the big ones doll," another pointed out.
"I adore the tiny lady from seeing her in AHS, but I often wonder if she ever gets tired of being held like a child by strangers essentially, like she’s grown lol," yet another noted.
"they’re so cute together i need a high budget photoshoot NEOW!!!!!" someone online urged.

The world's tallest woman and the world's shortest woman bond over fashion and makeup

Rumeysa Gelgi, from Turkey, and Jyoti Amge, from India, met at The Savoy Hotel on November 20. The latter has held the title of shortest woman in the world for over a decade, and their height difference of about 152.36 cm (five feet) quickly caught the internet's attention.

Over a cup of tea, the tallest and shortest women spoke about all the things they had in common, including fashion, self-care, and food. The two were seen joking, laughing, and sharing personal anecdotes. As Guinness Word Records put it, it was “a lavish girls’ day out” for the two women.

Per an official press release, Gelgi said,

“It was so amazing meeting Jyoti for the first time. It was difficult for us to make eye contact at times due to our height difference, but it was great. We do have things in common; we both love make-up, self-care, and doing our nails."

Amge echoed the sentiments:

"I’m used to looking up and seeing people taller than me but I was so happy to look up today and see the world’s tallest woman. I’m delighted that I’ve met Rumeysa, she is so good-natured, and I felt very comfortable talking to her. "

At the end of their meeting, Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday presented the two women with certificates.

Gelgi's anomalous height can be attributed to a condition called Weaver's syndrome, which causes expedited growth and skeletal deformities. Her condition forces her to rely on a walker when she needs to stand up. As for Amge, the American Horror Story alum has no such condition.
