On the eve of the US presidential election, Joe Rogan, one of the country's most influential podcasters, declared a last-minute endorsement of Republican candidate Donald Trump. On Monday, Joe Rogan endorsed him while promoting an episode of his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring Elon Musk. Rogan posted on X alongside a snippet of his interview with Elon Musk:
"For the record, yes, that's an endorsement of Trump."
The Joe Rogan Experience is reportedly the most-listened-to podcast in the United States, with nearly 14.5 million followers on Spotify as of March 2024. Despite being in the public eye for decades, Rogan ensures privacy in his personal life. However, this last-minute endorsement has sparked interest in Rogan's personal life, including his family and kids.
Rogan has been married for over 15 years and has three children with former model, Jessica Ditzel. Joe Rogan and Ditzel got married in 2009, after welcoming their first daughter together in 2008.
All about Joe Rogan's wife Jessica Ditzel and their children
During the early 2000s, Rogan met Ditzel when she was working as a cocktail waitress in Los Angeles. Soon after, the two welcomed their first daughter, Lola, in 2008 and officially tied the knot in 2009. Later, in an interview with the Palm Beach Post, Rogan opened up about this decision to get married despite being against the institution of marriage.
"I had to. Not really had to, but you know, she made a baby. [It's] like, 'God, all right, I'll sign a silly little contract.' What she did was way more of a commitment," Rogan stated.
The couple gave birth to two daughters together - Lola, 15, and Rosy, 13. Rogan adopted Ditzel's other daughter, Kayja, 27, whom she shares with her ex-partner, the late Keven Conner.
During an interview with Rosie O'Donnell, Rogan revealed that he has an amicable relationship with his stepdaughter, Kayja, an R&B artist. Over the years, she has released a five-track R&B EP, Tipsy, and a single called I Miss You.
Even though the couple keeps the details of their life relatively private, Rogan has spoken about his marriage on certain occasions on his podcast, where he implied that both of them share the same "values" and emphasized the importance of "find[ing] someone who can grow with you."
Moreover, during an interview with journalist Sebastian Junger in an episode of his podcast, Rogan highlights his perspective on raising daughters versus sons, as he thinks raising boys can be more difficult as they come with a whole different set of challenges.
"I think the universe did me a solid by giving me only daughters," he explained.
In another episode, he revealed that it is nearly impossible for him to stay away from home, especially from his kids.
"I don't like being gone for three days, like three days f*cks up my feelings. Three days make me uncomfortable. I love doing stuff. Like I love going on vacation."
The Joe Rogan Experience host is seemingly a family man who loves to spend quality time with his family. Despite being married to one of the most influential podcast hosts, Ditzel has managed to avoid the limelight. The couple was spotted together last month at the F1 Grand Prix of United States.
