What we know about Carter Jackson's disappearance
Oceanside police did not disclose additional details on Carter Jackson’s disappearance. However, a friend, in response to an Oceanside Police post pleading for the public's assistance, said Carter disappeared after skipping school on November 5, 2024. The friend Marley Stringer also alleged Carter Jackson was 5'4, contradicting police description of 5'6. She said:
“PEOPLE ARE SPREADING THE WRONG INFO!! Carter is no more than 5 '4, probably 100lbs, today he was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, black sneakers, a black and white American flag hoodie, and a black hat. I didn’t personally see him around school today but a lot of my friends did.”
Marley claimed her friends saw Carter during the third period at school before alleging Jackson might have hopped the fence just after 11 a.m. Marley added:
“I'm not sure why he decided to leave but we are all devastated and trying our best to reach his information out to everyone. Most of our friends have posted their snap stories and TikTok stories about him. I really hope he's safe and he returns safely very soon.”
Police have not issued an update on the case on their social media account. It is unclear if Carter was found safe. As of November 6, 2024, Jackson has not been found. A concerned community member, Cindy Rankin, said:
“I hope he came home last night.”
Several community members amplified the post on his disappearance, including Sally Leeper, who urged anyone with information about Jackson’s whereabouts to contact the police. She wrote:
