According to reports from CNN, he was previously arrested in 2020 for r*pe of an unconscious person but was let go because of a lack of a speedy trial. His hearing for the current charges was supposed to be on Friday but was rescheduled to November this year.
The Redondo Beach Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the case, and it believes there could be more victims. To help the investigator, the DA's office also released a photo of the accused and provided a toll-free number for information to the concerned officers.

If found guilty of all charges, he is likely to be sentenced to life in prison.

The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority, and we will not tolerate this type of predatory behavior in our communities. I encourage anyone with information related to these incidents or any other incidents regarding Mr. DiGiorgio to report it to the Redondo Beach Police Department, he said.
