Jameial Lyons and Kaveion Keys, two former Penn State football players, have been charged with felony r*pe. The charges that the two former players, both 19, are facing are related to an incident in July. According to PennLive, on July 7, a student reported a s*xual assault case against the two players. They are both scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
The alleged s*xual assault happened in a residence hall on the campus of Penn State, Pennsylvania. A second student who was also allegedly present at the scene said she woke up without her pants. She also alleged that she saw Jameial Lyons "digitally p*netrating" her, per the criminal complaint.
The complaint said that Keys denied knowing the victim, who was called "Victim 1." He has also denied having physical contact with any women in the apartment. On the other hand, Lyons has reportedly admitted to having int*rcourse with Victim 1 and claimed that he had Keys' cell phone with him at that time. However, he denied recording the incident on the phone and called the contact consensual. He also believed the victim would likely "report the situation to the police."
When Lyons and Keys' cell phones were examined, a short video of Victim 1 was found. The footage on Keys' cellphone showed "indecent contact."
Following the alleged incident, neither Lyons nor Keys are the Penn State Football team members. PennLive confirmed that the two were placed on interim suspension on July 31 to handle the matter. On Tuesday, Penn State's spokesperson issued a statement confirming that the University is aware of the charges that the two are facing.
“We are aware of the serious charges against Mr. Keys and Mr. Lyons, who are no longer enrolled at the University. The safety of our community is our top priority, and Penn State takes any report of s*xual assault or misconduct very seriously and investigates any and all reports."

Jameial Lyons is facing multiple charges, including r*pe, voluntary deviate s*xual int*rcourse, aggravated assault without consent, and aggravated individual assault without consent. There are also misdemeanor charges that he is facing, which include indecent assault without consent of others and invasion of privacy.
