Her disappearance sparked widespread concern, especially among her family and followers, as she left behind her 9-year-old daughter. After a week of searching, her body was tragically discovered near the Walmart store where she was last seen.

Rodriguez-Ramirez, a 25-year-old who documented her fitness journey on TikTok, was last seen at the Cornelia, Georgia store on October 22, 2024. According to the Habersham County Sheriff's Office, she allegedly texted her fiancé, Julio Tovor, around 9:30 p.m. The message, which seemed suspicious, read:
“I am waiting for the brother to pick him up,”
Tovor told Now Habersham News:
“It didn’t make sense. She doesn’t talk like that,”
Tovor mentioned that his fiancée had gone to Walmart to swap a photo with someone she knew. When he woke up the following day and hadn’t heard from her, he sensed something was amiss and reached out to Rodriguez-Ramirez’s mother. They filed a missing persons report on October 23.
Rodriguez-Ramirez relocated to Georgia from Puerto Rico six years ago after receiving a job offer from the local manufacturer Mt. Vernon Hills Inc.
On Monday, authorities in Georgia arrested a 24-year-old man named Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches, charged with the abduction and disappearance of Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez. The investigation led to the discovery of Rodriguez's body on Tuesday evening, involving the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, state Department of Natural Resources personnel, and local law enforcement.
It remains uncertain who Rodriguez-Ramirez was scheduled to meet at Walmart or whether there is any link between her and Rivera-Sanches. According to Now Habersham News, her vehicle was discovered five miles away on Hazel Creek Road, with witnesses reporting a dark SUV and a gold minivan in the area that night. The remains, believed to belong to Rodriguez-Ramirez, were found on Furniture Drive, a street adjacent to the Walmart parking lot, as stated by Habersham County Coroner Kelsey McEntire to 11 Alive.
An autopsy is underway, but the cause of death and any potential motive for Rodriguez-Ramirez’s suspected murder have not yet been disclosed.
