Victor was a former spy and sleuth who had been hidden away in a convent and battled mental illness. He had a strained relationship with his son Kevin Collins because after Victor learned that his wife was abusing Kevin and his twin brother Ryan, he took Kevin away and left Ryan behind. They eventually patched things up, and it was clear that Lindstrom and Pryor had great chemistry. The two had become real-life pals, as Lindstrom described when he continued,
But to me, he was my friend. One of the best I've ever had. He was a mentor, a sounding board, a trusted confidant, and even a father-figure beyond, yes, playing my own father on #GH and #PortCharles. And he was one of the funniest people you could hope to spend time with over a bottle of good wine and a great meal. I will miss him terribly, as will his beautiful wife Christina, his daughter Stacey, and his two grandchildren, Gus and Avril. R.I.P. #FlightOfAngels #RIP @generalhospitalabc
According to Variety, the cause of Pryor’s death was cancer, and he passed away in Wilmington, North Carolina. The outlet reported that Susan Tolar Walters, his agent, stated,
He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and he will be missed.
Pryor worked on Beverly Hills, 90210 in the 1990s, and in 1993, he married his co-star Christine Belford. He leaves behind Belford, a daughter named Stacey, and two grandkids.
Appearing in over 170 films and TV shows, Pryor began his career with the soap opera The Brighter Day in 1958. He appeared in several soap operas early in his career, including The Nurses, All My Children, and The Edge of Night, among others.
Fans also remember him as Charles Warren from Damien: Omen II (1978) and his hilarious turn as Mr. Hammen in 1980’s classic comedy Airplaine! The Risky Business (1983) alum continued acting until 2021 when his last film was Halloween Kills.
He will be missed by friends, family, and fans alike.
