Many General Hospital stars have also crossed over into Christmas movie land on various networks and streaming services. Cameron Mathison (Drew Quartermaine) has co-hosted Home and Family for the Hallmark Channel as well as starring in many of its films including Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery (2016) and The Christmas Ornament (2014), among several others. Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase) has gravitated over to Netflix for two holiday films: A California Christmas (2020) and A California Christmas: City Lights (2021). Just like his castmates, Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois) has been in several films outside of GH, including A Royal Christmas Ball (2017) alongside GH alum Ingo Rademacher (Jax) and Haley Pullos (ex-Molly), and Hallmark’s Sister of the Bride (2019). Now he’s got a new Christmas film coming out on Netflix.
The new film's plot is a familiar one
As a stalwart nurse at General Hospital, Felix seems to have been sidelined in recent years. However, he has returned for several important occasions including Epiphany Johnson’s memorial in March 2023 and the subsequent Nurses Ball, where he showed off his dancing skills. In his new Netflix film The Merry Gentlemen, Samuel also gets to do some dancing.
On Instagram, he shared some stills from the movie, writing:

Let’s celebrate! It all starts in November!THE MERRY GENTLEMEN. Screenplay by my movie wife, @marlasokoloff
His General Hospital co-star Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) responded,
WHAT starts in November!!!!
To which Samuel replied,
@finolafilona the Netflix Holiday movie, “The Merry Gentlemen”
Samuel plays Roger in the film, and IMDb lists the plot as:
To save her parents' small-town performing venue, a former big-city dancer decides to stage an all-male, Christmas-themed revue.
The movie also stars Britt Robertson (The Rookie: Feds) and Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), and was co-written by Marla Sokolof, who also plays Marie in it.
No stranger to dance
Samuel is no stranger to dance, as Felix danced in the Magic Milo act—a spoof of the film Magic Mike (2012)—during the Nurses Ball from 2013 to 2016. His new movie also has the same kind of male dancing, as the men involved try to help save the theater.
We last saw him on General Hospital when he returned for Bobbie Spencer’s (the late Jacklyn Zeman) funeral, and fans are hoping he’ll be coming back to Port Charles soon. Considering Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) have returned, it's likely we'll see Felix again, as some of his past storylines were tied in with theirs.
