As General Hospital fans know, Kin Shriner’s attorney Scotty Baldwin has spent decades defending the good citizens of Port Charles. Although he’s implemented quite a few schemes over the years, he’s still beloved, and his absence has made the viewers clamor for his return. In real life, Shriner’s been leaning into nostalgia, whether it’s images from his past work and scene partners, or his love of Old Hollywood and vintage mopeds. His latest post, though, combined both passions — and set off a flurry of guesses about a possible reunion on the horizon.
A Nostalgic Post
Shriner took to X (formerly Twitter) to tease fans with a curious update. “Planning a Vespa tour thru Italy fellow teen idol on board as well take a guess?” he wrote. Alongside the post, he shared three photos: one of himself leaning coolly on a Vespa outside a retro-styled building, another of a vintage teen magazine cover featuring Hollywood’s most-wanted guys (with his own younger face among them), and finally, a candid shot of him reading The Life Vespa, a book celebrating the scooter’s iconic history.
On the Tiger Beat Star cover were the following actors: Scott Baio, Andrew Stevens, the aforementioned Shriner, Ralph Macchio, John Schneider, Robbie Benson, Rick Springfield, Anthony Geary, Michael Damian, and Matt Dillon, all of whom were quite young. Fans quickly jumped in with their theories and playful comments. @umrami suggested, “Do it in Milan! We had a blast there.” @shihtzumomma2 threw out a name, writing, “Guessing Rick?” while @GiamancoDerek kept it simple with, “@ good morning l love your clothes.” @salcorrente was certain: “If they are on that magazine cover I say it's Andrew Stevens.” Others leaned toward classic guesses, with @LMR413 saying, “Rick Springfield? Do tell!” and @ljh430 adding, “My guess is John Stamos. Please be careful.”
The John Stamos theory caught fire quickly, as @Marladavis19 asked, “John Stamos is going with you?” and @bronxMix chimed in, “I can see you & Stamos.” Some had other ideas: @Ejudicator tossed out “Tony?” while @CindyArmor declared, “Andrew Stevens!” A number of other General Hospital fans — from @EJS08026749’s supportive “Have a great time!” to @Cavan11117812’s wistful “Wish it were me” — simply cheered Shriner on.
Fans kept guessing

The speculation didn’t stop there. @@RavenLova cheekily referenced Rick Springfield’s (ex-Noah Drake) music days with, “Jessie’s Girl?” while @CathCath77 tagged “Wil Vote Aussie @rickspringfield.” More guesses followed: @PacenLeslie pressed, “John Stamos?” while @spfkeith reasoned, “It must be John Stamos or Andrew Stevens. I'd have guessed Tony Geary but he wasn't a teen when he started #GH.”
Not every reply stuck to the game. @Chris428792 pointed out frustrations with the show itself, saying, “The stupid ass writers on [General Hospital] can't even tell us what happened with your character, it's still been unresolved and ignored since Jagger's death.”
Regardless of who the General Hospital star’s mysterious riding partner turns out to be, fans are clearly delighted by the possibility of a teen idol reunion on the streets of Italy — and more than happy to join in on the guessing game.
General Hospital can be seen weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
