General Hospital's real-life Swickard family is about to grow once again as Josh and Lauren Swickard are expecting baby number three.

General Hospital family gets bigger

Lauren Swickard, who recurred as Janice, a nurse at Ferncliff who helped Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) when she was wrongly committed to the criminal mental health facility, shared a video on Instagram with the big news.

"Exciting New Year’s update from the Swickard fam. @joshswickard just a couple more months," Lauren captioned the sweet video featuring herself with a big baby bump, as well as her husband and their two other kids. Savannah turns five this spring, while Arthur will turn three in February.

In the video, we can see Josh and Lauren Swickard, as well as their son and daughter, enjoying a day with horses and tractors. Lauren also shows off the moment when she first saw her positive pregnancy test. The video also included clips of their daughter's adorable dance lessons.

While Lauren has not been seen on GH in a few years, she and Josh have worked together on other projects. In 2020 and 2021, they starred in Netflix's A California Christmas and A California Christmas: City Lights, respectively. Lauren also wrote and produced the two flicks.

Baby time for Chase?

On-screen, Swickard's GH character, Chase, has been struggling to become a parent. Last year, Chase learned that the reason Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was unable to conceive was that he was suffering from fertility issues. The couple talked about adoption and they even met with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to discuss the possibility. However, when Brook Lynn learned that Gio (Giovanni Mazza) was the child she gave up for adoption as a teen, Chase and Brook Lynn put their plans on hold.

Chase had told Brook Lynn that he was still anxious to start a family, but his obsession with making sure that his ex-wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), is acquitted has caused tension in the marriage. Willow is currently on trial for allegedly shooting Drew (Cameron Mathison).

However, off-screen, Swickard seems much happier than his Port Charles alter-ego and is ready for his family's next chapter. Even Michael Easton, who played Chase's brother, Hamilton Finn, wished the couple congratulations.

Soap Central also offers the Swickard family a hearty congratulations on the new upcoming blessing.
