General Hospital’s Cynthia Watros praises a special makeup artist

A lot of stories on General Hospital lately have required the skills of a makeup artist. From Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) car accident to Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) knock-down, drag-out fight, the makeup people were on hand to make wounds look realistic. Outside of the show, the actresses must do their own makeup, and Watros shared the work of her own special beautician.

She’s amazing

Watros wrote shared a beautiful selfie on Instagram, and wrote, “Makeup by the amazing @emmagillilandmua.” Emma Gilliland, of course, is Watros’ talented daughter. While the young woman doesn’t work on General Hospital, she’s got many credits under her belt and an incredible portfolio of her work on Instagram.

Working as a makeup artist since 2022, Gilland has used her talents on such short films as The Better to Eat You With (2022), Sonder (2022), and You’re Perfect! (2025). She’s also worked on the TV series, 765874 in 2024. In July 2022, Watros shared several pics of Gilland’s works on Instagram, captioning them, “My beautiful daughter loves being a makeup artist..and she is amazing. The fans loved her

Several of Watros’ General Hospital co-stars chimed in on her recent post, with Kate Mansi (Kristina) commenting, “Oh hello vixen 😍.” Rebecca Budig, who previously played Hayden Barnes on GH and now plays Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful, shared, “You are so beautiful ❤️❤️.” Katelyn MacMullen, who plays Nina’s daughter Willow, couldn’t help but write, “😍😍😍 gorgeous!”

Uberfan @michelleegirard remarked about the fight between Nina and Carly with, “Love it when you and Laura play together. Have been [a fan] since you both [were] on Guiding Light together.” @brandi_love2 praised the conflict, responding, “Girl, you gave Carly a beat down yesterday!!!!” That same follower also commented, “[I’m] watching The Secret Life of the American Teenager right now. I’ve never seen it before. And to my surprise I see the beautiful @watros.watros.”

The fans overwhelming agreed that Watros was indeed gorgeous and that they were huge fans of hers. @tinykeys quoted the classic Roy Orbison song with, “Pretty woman....walking down the street🥰🎶.” And @theoriginaluncleputz_ shared the comment, “With all due respect, the makeup is wonderful, but the subject is stunning from the start. ❤️.”
