It felt like only a matter of time until young Jophielle Love's time on General Hospital would come to a close. Now, Soap Opera Digest confirms that October 21 was the actress' last episode as Violet Finn.

Earlier this year, Violet's dad, Hamilton Finn, checked into rehab as Michael Easton exited GH. However, Violet remained on the canvas as her Uncle Chase (Josh Swickard) and Aunt Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) became her temporary legal guardians and moved her into the Quartermaine mansion.

Fans knew Finn would eventually be released from rehab and couldn't imagine that he would leave his beloved daughter behind. As expected, Finn decided to move from Port Charles to start a new life and wanted Violet with him. Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn were forced to say goodbye to the little girl they had come to love, then Chase accompanied Violet on a flight to Seattle to live with her dad.

GH earned Love an Emmy nomination

Love was only five years old when she landed the role of Violet Finn. Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) brought her daughter to Port Charles to meet her father, who didn't even know she had existed. When she left town shortly before their wedding, Hayden had told Finn she had miscarried. Not long after Finn got to know Violet, Hayden skipped town and hasn't been heard from since.

As Love and Violet grew into a young tween, the actress became a fan favorite and earned an Emmy nomination in 2024, but not for acting. Love's Emmy nod was for Outstanding Original Song. Love wrote and performed "Shine" on the soap last year.

When GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini gave Love the big news, she expressed her joy on Instagram.

"OMG! My first song “Shine” got nominated for a Daytime Emmy!!! I am so excited!" Love wrote. "Let’s celebrate team! @derek_w_dooms_music @douglasladnier @johnshartzer and of course @generalhospitalabc !!! Thanks to Frank Valentino to have made this sweet scene for me to sing my song! I am so grateful! To the first of many I hope."

Whether Love makes any guest appearances on GH remains to be seen. With her aunt and uncle still living in Port Charles, she could visit just as Brooklyn Rae Silzer's Emma occasionally returns to see her grandparents, Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio.
