Did General Hospital just tell us Morgan Corinthos is coming home?

Sonny's quest to find the person who set fire to his apartment on General Hospital has entered a whole new level of storytelling, all thanks to a simple photo on Sonny's office desk.

General Hospital's big fat hint?

Sonny (Maurice Benard) has been on a tear since January when an incendiary device in his penthouse led to Michael (Chad Duell) spending months in a German burn clinic. Now that Sonny has learned the middleman who planted that device is in Canada, he's off with Jason (Steve Burton) to confront him.

As Sonny and Jason prepared their guns for the trip, Sonny vowed that he would protect his family from whoever did this. The camera then panned to a framed photo of Sonny's two sons, Michael and Morgan. We know Michael is alive and recovering, but Morgan was presumed dead after a car explosion in 2016. A body was never found, leading fans to ponder about his return off and on for nearly a decade.

With that closing shot on the March 27, 2025, General Hospital episode, fans were more convinced than ever that Morgan could be alive out there somewhere.

Morgan was in a bad state when he stole Julian Jerome's (William deVry) car, not knowing that Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) had placed a bomb in it earlier. Thanks to Ava Jerome (Maura West), Morgan was taking placebos rather than his regular bipolar meds, leading to irrational behavior.

While it was Emmy winner Bryan Craig's choice to leave the soap, he has hinted in the past that he wouldn't mind a return. In fact, he has played Morgan's ghost several times over the years, including last summer when Sonny contemplated jumping from the hospital roof.

Considering the reaction on social media after the Thursday episode aired, fans would welcome a more permanent Morgan return.

"Very interesting decision to have the final shot of this episode be the camera panning to a picture of Michael and Morgan together," @GHFan10130 wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "Could this be foreshadowing something?"

"Hmm...The show ending with the camera flashing to Morgan and Michael," @paula_30throad wrote. "l’ve always been a Morgan fan and if he is returning please let it be Bryan!"

@Ana_StasiaST thinks the photo also foreshadows danger for Sonny. "You can’t tell me this is isn’t a sign something is going to happen to Sonny. Is Morgan alive?"

If Morgan is alive, does he have a connection to the person behind the fire? It might explain where he has been all these years and why he hasn't come home on his own.
