General Hospital: Best of the Week, September 22 - September 26, 2025
Welcome to the Best of the Week for General Hospital, where we highlight some of the week’s standout moments, scenes, notables, quotables, fashion, and more!
GENERAL HOSPITAL’S BEST OF THE WEEK

MOMENTS

These were amongst the many spectacular moments this week:
Tracy crying in grief on the stairs, Tracy with Ned at the Leprechaun Casino, Tracy reading Drew for filth and pushing him out of the chapel, and Jason going halfway up the stairs to make his final toast to Monica.
To watch Tracy finally let her grief out on the stairway was heartbreaking. Her speech to Ned about not wanting to go through another funeral for someone she loved felt gut-wrenchingly real. And, like me, I’m sure many viewers cheered as she put Drew in his place. Then, there was Jason (Steve Burton). His strength, vulnerability, and profound sense of loss were on full display as he chose to make his final toast to Monica alone on the stairs. Everything Jane Elliot and Steve Burton did in their scenes felt genuine and raw and served beautifully to pay tribute to both the loss of an iconic character and of a soap legend.
SCENES
These were among the many fantastic scenes this week:
Each of the speeches at Monica’s Celebration of Life, The flashback scenes, Monica’s final message, Monica’s ending montage, Nina with Nathan (Ryan Paevey) in his hospital room, and Felicia spinning out after seeing Nathan alive
It’s pretty incredible to think that Leslie Charleson played Dr. Monica Quartermaine on General Hospital for 46 years and had the longest tenure of any actor on GH. The many scenes dedicated to her character’s loss and legacy reverently showed the profound impact Monica had on her family, friends, and the hospital, as well as the lasting impact that Charleson had on the show and her fellow castmates.

NOTABLES

General Hospital’s flowers never disappoint. Kudos to the floral designers who created the beautiful arrangements!
Erika Slezak has arrived!
Lucy always brings a little levity to the situation. She is that person in your life whose social filter is always turned down a little too low, but still somehow manages to meet the moment when needed.
QUOTABLES

Britt and Lulu majorly clash over Rocco on General Hospital | Image: ABC
Lulu: “Because you stole our embryo!” Britt: “It was languishing in cryo-storage.”
“You are nothing more than an incubator for stolen goods.” – Lulu responding to Britt acting like she was Rocco’s actual mother
“Well, if you squint when you think about it, it’s kinda sweet.” – Alexis to Molly about Cody saying he agreed to seduce Ava for Molly’s sake
“Hades [the horse] hates everyone, except for Tracy. I think she reminds him of home.” – Cody
“Wow, is it a formal Mob meet-and-greet?” – Britt being snarky with Jason about picking up his suit before she found out Monica had passed away
“I’m really living up to my nicknames today.” – Britt apologizing to Jason for being insensitive
Anna: “It crossed my mind that maybe this had something to do with Faison, but, um, I saw his brain in a jar.” Nina: “Are you sure it was his brain?” Anna: “Yeah, 99% sure.” Nina: “Okay, I don’t like those odds.”
“I once tried to set up location sharing [with Tracy], but she refused to be tracked like a bear in the woods.” – Ned
Lois: “Did I ever tell you about the time someone tried to kill your father’s ex-wife, Katherine Bell?” Brook Lynn: “Didn’t that happen multiple times?” Lois: “It did, but his time it was poison.”
“You, uh, look like you might be a dropper.” – Dante to Brook Lynn about why Olivia didn’t want her helping with serving the hors d’oeuvres
Lucy: “You know, when I lived here, I did steal some of these glasses.” Felicia: “Of course, you did.”
Laura: “She [Tracy] came to our wedding.” Lulu: “Along with the rest of the world.” – A nod to the fact that 30 million viewers tuned in to watch Luke & Laura’s wedding, making it the most-watched event in soap opera history
“So you sat on something you don’t remember?” – Martin responding to Drew (who has no memory of who actually shot him), saying he only held off reporting Michael to the police for shooting him because he was protecting Monica
FASHION

There were so many good outfits this week that it felt like the September Issue for General Hospital!
Nina’s Black and Green Belted Abstract Print Silk Midi Shirtdress by Lafayette 148 New York - So chic and I ❤️ pockets!
Lois’ Jenessa Belted Indigo Denim Mini Wrap Shirtdress by Cinq à Sept with Black Faux Leather Pants – There is so much to love about this shirtdress…the wrapped style, curved front hem, crisp lapel, contrasting top stitching, belt, and patch pockets. And, pairing it with the faux leather pants and lace undershirt made the outfit uniquely Lois (Rena Sofer).
Jordan’s Red Long-Sleeved Top & Black Faux-Leather Wrap Pencil Skirt by Avec Les Filles – I die…this outfit is perfection on her!
Alexis’ Khaki Black Pinstripe Blazer by DKNY – I like it when they mix some lighter colors into Alexis’ outfits. Also, the half-belt buckling into D rings on the side makes the blazer more interesting.

Elizabeth’s Ophelia Fit & Flare Midi Dress by Dress the Population – The fit & flair silhouette, defined waist, & ruffled hemline add dimension and texture to make this dress more interesting.
Marshall Ashford’s Tone-on-Tone Blue Pinstripe Shirt, Blue Velvet Blazer with “Professor Patch” Elbows, and Blue Kangol Hat – Classic and effortlessly cool
Trina’s Carmella Pinstripe Corset Shirt by Urban Outfitters, Braided Suede Mini-Skirt by Coach, and Jildie Pump by Sam Edelman – Perfectly styled from head to toe, and her hair looks incredible!
Stella’s Olive Long-Sleeved Belted Wrap Shirt - Great fall color, unique belting, and great fit
Lucy’s Red ¾ Sleeve Peplum Dress by Calvin Klein – The peplum adds dimension, and the color is a fitting nod to Lucy’s wedding dress from when she married Alan.

Felicia’s Navy Ruffle Sleeve Cocktail Dress by Eliza J – Love navy and the unique sheer ruffle sleeve
Stella’s Margerite Column Gown in Ink by Kay Unger (length altered) – Beautiful color; The asymmetrical pleating and draping create a lovely, more fitted silhouette
Tracy’s Rita Black and Blue Floral Jacket by Connie Roberson with Lila’s brooch – Elegant, classic, and fitting for a Quartermaine
Lulu’s Black Belted Turtleneck Midi Dress by Norma Kamali – For a seemingly simple dress, there is a mix of elements – the shoulder pads, pleating, and faux leather multi-wrap belt that elevate it to create a chic & sophisticated look.
Portia’s Lien Lace Dress by Chiara Boni La Petite Robe – I love the tailored collar as well as the black & navy combo. And, what doesn’t look fabulous on Brook Kerr?
MUSINGS

Yay, Outback gets to live with Cody at the Quartermaines!
What’s up with Britt acting like such a whackadoo about Rocco?
I feel I’m going to be torn whether Maxie should be with Spinelli or Nathan.
Why does Drew automatically assume Michael would actually be found guilty of shooting him?
I adore Tracy and Stella’s friendship.
Watching Tracy’s speech at Monica’s service made me think of Truvy (Dolly Parton) in Steel Magnolias, saying, “Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion.”
I wonder what previously unknown memory of Monica’s Jason shared with the others in the kitchen?
