As Laura sat by Lulu's bedside, begging Lulu to get better, she was pleasantly surprised to see Marty. He asked her to take a walk to stretch her legs and catch up. Laura explained what was going on with Lulu while Marty admitted that he had been tested and wasn't a match.
Marty explained that he'd shaved his beard and ditched his Southern accent so he could start anew. "I got tired of being asked about fried chicken," Marty deadpanned. He had apparently used the same dialect coach who had eliminated Lois' Brooklyn accent.
When Lulu and Marty returned to Lulu's room, they found Cyrus sitting by her side, reading the Bible. "I pray that she will soon be delivered from this terrible ordeal," Cyrus said.
Marty took Cyrus into the hall and said that Laura didn't need Cyrus bothering her while she was worried about Lulu. Cyrus insisted he was giving Laura a gift rather than bothering her.

As Marty and Cyrus argued, Laura sat with Lulu. Laura was stunned when Elizabeth burst into the room with good news. Laura took that good news to Kevin's office to tell him.
Elizabeth met up with Isaiah at the nurses' station. He had just finished a physical therapy session and wanted to check up on Lucky, thinking his friend was being prepped for surgery. Elizabeth told Isaiah that Lucky wasn't a suitable donor, but they might have found another donor. She was waiting for more details before telling Laura.
Elizabeth and Isaiah discussed the miracle of organ donation and the selflessness of someone willing to give up a part of themselves to save someone else. Both Elizabeth and Isaiah worried that Lucky had left town. Isaiah admitted he would have done the same thing. Isaiah admitted he had left his practice after a surgery that had gone wrong. However, he believed that Lucky should stick around.
As Elizabeth and Isaiah were talking, Elizabeth got a notification about Lulu's match. She was stunned when she saw the name of the donor.
Dante met Sam at the batting cages to practice for the PCPD softball playoffs. Dante kept swinging and missing as he quickly grew frustrated. When Sam returned with snacks, Dante thanked her for being so good to him. As Sam and Dante sat down to eat, they made small talk.
Dante told Sam about trying to stop Sonny before he'd confessed to his lifetime of crimes, but Marty had revealed the news first. "After all these years of walking this fine line between son and cop, there I was, nearly putting my entire career on the line to stop him," Dante said.
Sam told Dante she believed he would have made the right decision and not told Sonny about the gun. She understood how stressed out Dante had been. Dante admitted he was most worried about Rocco. "I made a promise to him, one I don't think I can keep," Dante said.
Dante felt like he had lied to Rocco because the chances of finding a donor were so slim. Terry then called and interrupted Sam and Dante's conversation. She asked Sam to meet her at GH but would not say why. Sam worried that it had something to do with Kristina.
When Sam got to Terry's office, she was stunned to learn she was a match for Lulu. Elsewhere in the hospital, Lulu started crashing, and Isaiah tried to save her life.
Willow walked into the Quartermaine solarium and quickly tried to walk back out when she spotted Drew on the phone. Drew stopped her and hung up. Willow explained that she was there to drop off Michael's keys, so Drew said he would give them to Michael and put out his hands. Willow dropped them onto the table, prompting Drew to ask if she couldn't even be in the same room as him.
Willow said she had a busy day, but Drew wanted to talk. Just then, Ned cleared his throat and asked if he was interrupting them. Willow excused herself so Ned and Drew could talk. Ned informed Drew that the court had ordered Valentin's ELQ shares to be returned to the company after the SEC unfroze the stock.
Ned assured Drew that Ned and Michael could take care of ELQ business without him. Drew suggested they discuss everything when Michael arrived. "Don't you have better things to do?" Ned asked.
Michael soon arrived to discuss business. Ned proposed equally dividing Valentin's ELQ shares among the next generation of Quartermaines. Michael and Drew gave one another looks, especially after Ned offered to be their proxy voter. Drew said he wanted to think about it before making a decision.
Ned pointed out that they needed to start moving on the idea. Ned also said that if Drew won his election, he'd have to put his own shares into a blind trust. Drew didn't even want to think about that at the moment, but Ned stressed that Drew would want to have everything square with the SEC. Michael also wanted to think about it.
"I thought the only way forward was together. So much for family unity," Ned scoffed before leaving the room.
Once alone, Drew and Michael worried that Ned would take over ELQ. Drew wanted to pull Michael from the Aurora CEO spot to head up ELQ when Drew moved to DC. Michael wasn't sure because he wanted to keep the family unified. Michael also didn't want to cause a rift in the family.
Drew then had the idea to split the children's proxies between him, Michael, and Ned, but he would name Michael the trustee of his blind trust. "If that's what it takes to remove Ned as CEO, done," Michael said.
When Sasha ran into Cody in the Quartermaine kitchen, she asked if he was hiding something. Cody explained that the estate he had grown up on, known as Serenity, was on the market. Sasha was excited because she thought Cody could buy it, but he didn't have the $6 million to cover the sale price.
Sasha still believed that Cody should go after his dreams. Cody wanted to turn the property into an animal sanctuary. Sasha encouraged Cody to do whatever it took to realize his dream. They thought of asking Tracy for a loan, but neither one was sure she would go for it. Just then, Tracy entered the kitchen, looking for a vanilla pudding cup for Ace.
Sasha left the kitchen to get Ace his pudding—and so Tracy and Cody could talk. Cody chickened out of asking Tracy for the money, but Sasha had some advice once she was back and Tracy was gone. She told Cody to come up with a formal business plan and present it to Tracy.
Brook Lynn caught Tracy on the phone, discussing the Violet situation. Brook Lynn took the phone out of her grandmother's hands and hung up. Tracy insisted she was going to sue Garth's parents after he bullied Violet. Tracy felt it was up to her to protect Violet. When Ace started crying, she felt it was up to her to take care of Ace, as well.
After Tracy left the living room, Olivia was shocked that Tracy wanted to sue Garth's parents. However, she did find it amusing. Olivia understood that Tracy was trying to help Violet as a way for Tracy to compensate for not being able to help Lulu.
Ned suddenly stormed into the room, fuming, so Olivia took him into the foyer, where he told her what had just happened with Drew and Michael. Olivia admitted to Ned that she couldn't handle his business troubles at the moment, prompting Ned to leave.
Ned later met up with Elaine and her dog and offered her a job. Ned wanted the private investigator to get to the bottom of what was going on between Drew and Willow.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Willow and Brook Lynn began to chat. Brook Lynn asked for advice about Violet from the point of view of a former teacher. Willow assured Brook Lynn there was really no such thing as an elementary school permanent record. When Chase texted Brook Lynn to tell her Finn was being released from rehab, Brook Lynn looked like she had mixed feelings.
In the foyer, Tracy broke down with Olivia. "The daughter of the love of my life, the bright comet who I raised from adolescence, is dying. Nobody wants to say it out loud, but she's dying," Tracy said.
