Tracy returned from her vacation, but Brook Lynn warned her that Ned had something serious to discuss. He showed up in the room, and she asked what she missed. Gio arrived immediately after and brought an abundance of produce, meant to reflect Ned's lifestyle change. However, since Tracy was kept in the dark about her son's health scale, she demanded answers.

Ned explained that something had occurred while she was gone and that he had a heart attack. She wanted to know the full scope of Ned's medical crisis because she felt as if she had held back. Tracy recognized that they kept the truth from her because they didn't want her to return home. Ned thought his family was the most important thing, and he had no plans on leaving them anytime soon. After Ned took his nap, Tracy thanked Gio for saving Ned, and she was happy that he had made a breakthrough with his mother.

At GH, Britt stopped Emma before she left and asked for an update on Rocco. She didn't want information about the case specifically, but she needed to know he was doing okay. Britt wanted to help, but Emma declined to believe she had true intentions. Emma called Britt out for pretending to get pregnant with "Ben" to trap Patrick. She told her to get back to her patients, but then she threw in a jab that Britt no longer had any. Emma said, "You're a paper pusher who lives above a diner."

Emma encountered Feiocia at the hospital, and she opened up about wanting to support Gio in his ongoing rift with his father. Emma thought they wanted to make things right, but the biggest issue is their egos. Felicia explained how she helped Cody and Mac repair their relationship as father and son. But she admitted that James had brought them together. Cody saved James from drowning, and his life being so fragile, showcased a new light on the softer sides of each man.

Lulu wanted Rocco to get ready for court, but once she told him that Dante would escort him, he put up resistance. Rocco refused to accept anything from Dante until he eased up on Gio. Lulu told Dante that he was helping matters with Rocco by the way he was acting. She couldn't risk alienating Rocco or causing a problem, so she asked Dante to stay with Charlotte so she could go to court with their son.

Sonny met with ADA Turner in her office, and she was concerned about Dalton's disappearance. He asked whether she was insinuating that he was involved in the professor going missing. However, even if it were good for Rocco, it was also good for Turner. She could put her full attention on Willow's trial and stop worrying about false charges against Rocco. Sonny urged her to go to the judge and drop all charges.

Ric interrupted a tense moment between Turner and Sonny, and Ric took his brother's side. He believed that reasonable terms existed to exonerate Rocco of the charges. Lulu and Rocco showed up not long after, and Ric informed them that the terms of the plea agreement had officially been set. Ultimately, it was up to Rocco which direction Turner went with.

Rocco apologized for everything he had done because he never meant to cause so much harm. She told him they would be satisfied if he served 500 hours of community service instead of jail time.

Dante and Nathan still hadn't found any sign of Valentin. She told them that they wasted their time looking for them at Lulu's because it was the last place he would show up. Danny arrived, and Nathan told him and Charlotte that showing up to court would be bad for Rocco. Even with Dalton in the wind, Nathan didn't think it was the best look for their brother to appear by his side.

Charlotte believed that Nathan was probably right, so even if they wanted to make a difference, it was best to hang back. She couldn't promise her mother that she wouldn't take off and go on the run again with her father.

Sidwell joined Laura for dinner, and she was annoyed that he was meeting her in public. Laura cautioned that broadcasting their association with souring her reputation with her constituents. Since Laura had been outspokenly opposed to him, it wouldn't make sense for them to be seen together. Sidwell explained that it was a special occasion because he was purchasing Sonny's piers. What he needed from her was an endorsement of the sale.

He ordered her to announce the deal and express excitement that Sidwell was the new owner of the piers. Sidwell knew that Laura and Sonny's close relationship would play in his favor because she could sell the experience as beneficial for everyone involved. Kevin showed up and made it clear to Sidwell that he wasn't going anywhere. He didn't think she should face her extortionist on her own, which Sidwell attempted to downplay. He was appalled that Laura and Kevin had the type of marriage where they told each other everything.

Sidwell didn't think Laura had a choice but to do whatever he wanted. However, Kevin thought otherwise. He told Sidwell that his wife could call his bluff. Kevin revealed that there were lines that Laura wouldn't cross, and if he pushed too hard, she'd turn herself in. Sidwell threatened Kevin, saying that although he needed Laura and Sonny, he didn't need Kevin around. Laura looked at her husband and said, "I love you so much right now, but don't you ever do that again."

Britt agreed to do it, but only under the condition that Jack found a way to get her medical license back. It was the only way she would ever risk her life to funnel information from Sidwell.

Jack gave Josslyn an update about Valentin, but he was more concerned about the Five Poppies and Faison's final project. Barbara Saunders was Valentin's new attorney, and Jack now had to contend with her. However, nobody knew her true identity or that she was really Carly in a thinly veiled disguise. Jack was under the impression that the mystery lawyer never really existed to begin with.

Jack summoned Britt to his office and threatened to have agents retrieve her if she attempted to decline. Once she showed up, he got directly to the point. He knew that she was doing research at the Five Poppies, so with Dalton missing, she was the only remaining link to Faison's final project. They knew she was connected to Sidwell, but she was terrified to go up against him. He requested all the information she had about the project, and if she didn't, he'd tell Sidwell she'd been secretly working with them from the start.

Saunders wore glasses that blocked the facial recognition, and Jack was adamant that Josslyn uncover the woman's identity. She refused to give him any update on Carly beyond her safety. Josslyn didn't believe he was entitled to any additional information.

Valentin helped himself to coffee in Carly's kitchen, and she informed him that she didn't trust him. She refused to leave him unattended inside her home. She needed more discretion from him because she was committing treason by harboring him. Valentin lamented being stuck at Carly's house instead of being reunited with his daughter. Carly defended Lulu as a mother, and in her eyes, no one would poison Valentin.

Josslyn dropped by and surprised Carly with an angel for her Christmas tree. She felt like getting in the holiday spirit would boost morale. She made plans with Carly and Donna to make Christmas cookies, but Carly clocked it instantly as a need for protection. Josslyn confessed that Valentin's escape concerned her. However, Carly believed she was the last person on his radar. If he ever showed up in town, Charlotte would be his top priority.

Carly asked Valentin how to get Jack out of their lives for good and get Josslyn out of the WSB. He didn't think that was possible yet. He insisted that they needed Jack to go to prison for Faison's final project, even if he had nothing to do with it. Valentin was sure that he'd end up in the middle at some point, and it would be then that they could strike.
