Wally Kurth plays happily married men on both General Hospital (Ned Quartermaine ) and Days of Our Lives (Justin Kiriakis).
Kurth celebrated his real-life marriage on July 4, when he celebrated his 22nd anniversary. Kurth married his wife Debra Yuhasz on Independence Day in 2003.

Kurth shared a post on Instagram on the Fourth of July, posting a picture from what looks like the early days of their marriage, captioning it “22 years ago, Debra Yuhasz said ‘I do.’ I sure am glad. Happy Anniversary to us. 🎉@debra.kurth

Debra posted a picture from their wedding to celebrate their anniversary. She captioned it, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22. Everything will be all right if you keep me next to you. @wallykurth #AndTheySaidItWouldNeverLast.”
Hundreds of followers wished the couple a happy celebration.
Several co-stars from both shows wished the happy couple a joyous anniversary.
From General Hospital, Kurth's Port Charles wife Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Quartermaine) said “Love this so much. Happy Anniversary Deb!” Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) said “Happy Anniversary!!!!!!”
From Days of Our Lives, Diedre Hall (Marlena) commented, “What a sweet picture. Happy Anniversary. You make it look easy!!” Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady) said “Happy Anniversary” with emojis of an American Flag to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Wally and Debra have a son, Brogan, who was born in 2004 and is 20 years old. Kurth regularly posts pictures and videos of his son, who is on the autism spectrum.
He has two daughters from previous relationships, including his former General Hospital onscreen wife Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo). His mother, Susie, recently turned 101 years old.
Kurth is a four-time Daytime Emmy nominee for acting, three times for Supporting Actor and once for Lead Actor. Three of those nods are from Days of Our Lives and one from GH.
He won an Emmy in 2002 with his musical partner Christian Taylor for Outstanding Original Song with the ballad “Barefoot Ballet.”
Kurth currently performs in the band The Day Players with Days of Our Lives costars Carson Boatman, Eric Martsolf and Brandon Barash.
They are scheduled to perform August 1 in Glendale, California during the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend. They also have September dates scheduled in Toronto, Des Moines and Omaha.
The band also performed at the Daytime at Night event in May that raised funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
