Catching Carly: A new man for the General Hospital character

General Hospital's Carly Spencer has been alone without a man in her life since Drew split with her in March, certain he could never compete with his brother, Jason, in Carly's eyes.

However, all these months later, Carly is not with Jason. Both seem content to remain friends. Jason appears to be happy to just be her BFF and forever savior when she does something reckless.

That means Carly is single and ready to mingle, but is there a man in Port Charles for her? Here are some possible contenders.

Sonny Corinthos

Sonny and Carly have wed a whopping four times over the last 24 years, plus two vow renewals, with the last one taking place while she was pregnant with Donna in 2019. When Sonny returned from the dead in 2021, Carly, Sonny, and their relationship had changed. Carly had married Jason, while Sonny had fallen in love with Nina while living in Nixon Falls with amnesia. After catching Sonny in bed with Nina, Carly divorced him.

That doesn't mean they're not still in one another's orbit, considering they are still co-parenting Donna. But Sonny will also always be there for Carly, and he broke things off with his new wife Nina when he learned that she was the one who had turned Carly and Drew in to the SEC for committing insider trading. With Sonny going through mental health issues, Carly tried to be by his side, and she is a big support after learning someone switched his bipolar meds with placebos. Now that Sonny is back on his medication and on the mend, will sparks fly with Carly once again?

Jason Morgan

While Jason and Carly had a sexual relationship soon after she arrived in Port Charles in 1996, it didn't go much further than that. Carly made no secret of the fact that she loved Jason, but after he learned that Carly and Sonny had slept together in 1999, he declared that they could never be anything more than friends.

And friends they have been. Carly and Jason are each other's ride or die in a platonic way, despite attempting to give love and marriage a try for about five minutes in 2021. They originally planned to wed for the sake of Sonny's organization when they believed he was dead, but curiously, Carly and Jason declared their love for one another just before their wedding. Sonny turned up alive on Jason and Carly's wedding night before they made it to the bed, thus ending this blink-and-you-miss-it go at love.

Soon after that, Jason and Sonny switched places, as Jason was presumed dead. He has been back since March, but Jason is back to just seeing Carly as a friend. Could that change down the line?

Jack Brennan

Carly seems to have a thing for men with Australian accents. She was once married to Jasper "Jax" Jacks, with whom she has a daughter, Josslyn. Last fall, Carly met another Aussie named Jack Brennan. Sparks flew immediately, but Anna soon arrested Brennan, and he ended up in Pentonville. Carly still found herself drawn to the man and visited him several times.

Now that Brennan is a free man, once again working for the WSB, it looks like Carly has a new friend to share conversation and wine with. Is Brennan who Carly is meant to be with now that Jason isn't interested and Sonny seems to only have eyes for Natalia?
