Carly Schroeder resumes role of Scott and Lucy's daughter Serena for GH tribute to Peter Hansen

Port Charles's Carly Schroeder has reprised her role as Scott and Lucy's daughter, Serena, for General Hospital's tribute to the late Peter Hansen (Lee Baldwin).

Talk about a blast from the past! Port Charles favorite Carly Schroeder has reprised her role as Serena for General Hospital's upcoming tribute storyline to the late Peter Hansen (ex-Lee Baldwin).

The actress, who played Scott (Kin Shriner) and Lucy's (Lynn Herring) daughter on the GH spinoff series from 1997 to 2003, is thrilled to be reuniting with her former soap family.

"I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful return," she told Soap Opera Digest. "Kin and I still have the same mannerisms! He is like my second father."

Just a few weeks ago, Shriner took to Twitter with the news that GH was planning something special for his former on-screen father, who passed away in April of this year.

"General Hospital will pay tribute to late Peter Hansen in upcoming episode thanks [Frank Valentini] Stay tuned!" he tweeted.

While it was obvious the tribute storyline would be special, it's quite a welcome surprise that Schroeder was asked to reprise her role.

"It was just amazing to have Carly back with us," Herring gushes. "It's something Kin and I had wanted for a long time, and I know the fans did, too. I'm so excited for them to see it!"

Schroeder is set to air this week on General Hospital.
