Dead again: Robert Palmer Watkins to recur in second season of popular series

Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine, General Hospital) has snagged a recurring role on the second season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. If that's not enough, he's also released his single.

It's been a very busy few weeks for Robert Palmer Watkins, who appeared on General Hospital from 2015 to 2017 as Dillon Quartermaine. Watkins inked a record deal in April and now comes word that he has signed on to appear in the second season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, a spinoff from the wildly popular AMC series (you guessed it!), The Walking Dead.

This won't be Watkins' first stint on World Beyond. The actor appeared as Lieutenant Frank Newton in the series' first season, but that role has been expanded heading into Season 2.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond follows the first generation raised in a post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves, and each other.

There's also more news on Watkins' music career. The actor -- who goes by just Palmer in the music world -- released his first single, "Waiting," and it is available anywhere you buy or stream music -- including Amazon and Apple Music.

"IT'S OUT! FIRST EVER PALMER SINGLE 'WAITING' IS OFFICIALLY OUT! HOPE YALL DIG IT!," Watkins shared on Twitter.

Robert Palmer Watkins starred as GH's Dillon from 2015 to 2017. Some of his other credits include Last Three Days, Cupid's Match, Frat House Musical, Sketch Juice, Last Life, Green Valley, and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. The actor first revealed that he was working with B Martin back in April of 2020, at which point he also said that he hoped to return to GH one day.
