GH's Ryan Paevey signs new multi-picture deal

Good news! Be prepared to see more Ryan Paevey in Hallmark movies due to his new exclusive, multi-picture deal with Crown Media Networks.

Crown Media Family Networks has taken steps to secure many of its stars, including General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey, with multi-picture deals for Hallmark. According to Deadline , competition in the Christmas movie business is the reason for this aggressive strategy.

The GH fan favorite is not the only former soap actor to lock in a picture deal. All My Children's Lacey Chabert and Jonathan Bennett have also signed deals recently. In regard to signing Pavey, Crown Media Family Network's Executive VP Lisa Hamilton Daly said, "Ryan is a consummate professional who always brings a special spark to the characters he plays, making him a favorite among our viewers.... We're excited to extend our partnership with Ryan and can't wait to get started on his next project for us."

Paevey, who will star in Hallmark's Two Tickets to Paradise next month stated, "Being part of Hallmark is like no other experience I've ever had.... The creative people I've had the pleasure of working with both at the network and on every set have made this collaboration so special and I can't wait to see what's next."

Paevey portrayed Detective Nathan West on the ABC soap from 2013 to 2018. His other credits include co-hosting gigs on Extra and The View, Hallmark's Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Marrying Mr. Darcy, and Lifetime's Locked In. He has also appeared in music videos for Toni Braxton, Robin Thicke, and Christina Aguilera.

Paevey's Crown Media deal comes as upstart GAC Family has raced to secure its own exclusive deals with talent, including GH and Days of our Lives alum Jen Lilley.
