The Young and the Restless and All My Children vet Elizabeth Hendrickson is checking in to General Hospital.
It looks like Elizabeth Hendrickson's recent Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy reel for her role as The Young and the Restless' Chloe Mitchell isn't the last soap work fans will be seeing from the talented actress: she's heading to General Hospital!
The ABC soap opera has signed Hendrickson on in a new role, reports Soap Opera Digest. No other news about her role has been revealed, other than that she's set to begin taping this week.
Soap Central chatted with the actress shortly after she received her Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, and she revealed that though she's been busy running her Venice Beach salon, Ellie & Sass, she's been active in auditioning for her next gig. However, judging from how busy it seems running the salon keeps her, it's likely her new GH role is recurring rather than contract (though that's just a guess).

"The salon is doing really well. I'm there a lot, and we do things like eyelash extensions and facials and nails. So, I'm there holding down the fort on a regular basis, and I really love it," she says. "I get to hang out with amazing women all day, and I always have my nails done and lashes and everything. Just kidding -- I wish I had time to do all of that! [Laughs] It's always so embarrassing when you tell somebody you own a nail salon and then they look down at your fingernails and they do not represent well! But that just goes to show how busy we are."
Hendrickson got her start in the daytime world in the roles of Frankie Stone and Maggie Stone on All My Children in 2001. The New York native joined Y&R in 2008 and made her last appearance in Genoa City last July.

UPDATE (May 4, 2018): Elizabeth Hendrickson took to Instagram to cheer her homecoming. Her daytime career began on ABC's All My Children and during her run on AMC she worked will many of her soon-to-be-GH-costars.
