General Hospital fans were surprised when Dante blew out of town with yet another open-ended exit, but portrayer Dominic Zamprogna teases this might not be the last viewers will see of his character.
Fans of General Hospital were thrilled to have Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) back on the canvas for a ten-episode stint, especially as it seemed like the handful of episodes were going to give his character a nice wrap-up. However, Dante once again left the canvas in an open-ended twist, leaving Lulu (Emme Rylan) right back in the state of limbo she's been in since he left Port Charles the first time around. But is this really how the writers plan on ending things?
In conjunction with his most recent exit, Zamprogna explains that his return allowed viewers to see Dante's struggles in a way Lulu didn't see, and he hopes that fans don't give up hope on his Port Charles alter ego -- especially because he may be back for more.

"The writers are like, 'Okay, he's back for this long, what do we do to make it count?' I think that's good for everyone. This time, I got to do something kind of different, which I enjoyed," he tells Soap Opera Digest. "I think they'd like to keep me in the mix, thankfully. That seems to be the idea at the moment, and that's really nice, without me committing to something full time. So we'll see what happens from here."
While it's good news that Dante will likely be back in the future, his open-ended exit once again leaves Lulu on shaky ground. Will she continue to wait for her love, or might she give up hope now that he has chosen to leave her in the dust once more? It looks like fans of GH will have to keep tuning in to the ABC soap opera to find out.
What do you think about the way the writers wrapped up Zamprogna's ten-episode stint as Dante? Should Lulu continue to wait for Dante, or do you think it's time for her to move on?
