WATCH: GH releases super-sized 55th anniversary promo video

As General Hospital's 55th birthday approaches, the ABC soap opera has gifted fans with an emotional anniversary promo video sure to stir up major feelings of nostalgia.

General Hospital celebrates its 55th anniversary on Sunday, April 1, and in celebration of the milestone moment, the ABC soap opera has released an action-packed promo video sure to bring on the feels.

The emotional video delves deep into the drama series' 14,000+ episodes to bring fans some of the most spectacular and memorable moments from its 55 years on the air. Special moments relived include Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura's (Genie Francis) wedding, the B.J. (Brighton Hertford)/Maxie (Kirsten Storms) heart transplant storyline, and Helena's curse (when the character was played by Elizabeth Taylor), among others.

But the video doesn't just deliver full-on blast-from-the-past moments. More recent moments like Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) admitting she's an alcoholic, Franco (Roger Howarth) proposing to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), and a recent Nurses Ball are also featured.

When you talk about five-and-a-half decades, it's impossible to include every moment in a two-minute clip. Kin Shriner, who has played Scott Baldwin since 1977, expressed his disappointment about not being included in the memory montage.

Created in 1963 by Frank and Doris Hursley, GH is the longest running daytime drama currently on the air. Check out the promo video for the soap's 55th anniversary below, and let us know which moments from the soap's 14,000+ episodes are your favorites.
