General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini opens up about the chances fans will see All My Children characters in Port Charles.
General Hospital has featured quite a few One Life to Live characters over the years, and it looks like the ABC soap opera might finally be ready to add a few familiar faces from All My Children now that the network has regained the rights to both Agnes Nixon-created shows.
Shortly after news broke that GH is bringing OLTL star Hillary B. Smith's Llanview character, Nora Buchanan, to Port Charles, the show's executive producer opened up about the possibility of resurrecting some Pine Valley residents, as well.
"Obviously, if there's an [opportunity] to [incorporate] All My Children characters, we'd love to do that, as well," he told Soap Opera Digest. "Many people out there are still mourning the loss of One Life to Live and All My Children and they still have such great affection for and memories of those shows. So if there is an opportunity to inject someone else, without infringing on the General Hospital brand, I think it's a fun thing to do, and it's exciting for us."

As for which AMC actors might suddenly pop up in Port Charles, the sky is the limit. Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall Hart) told Soap Central she would be more than happy to mix it up in PC, especially if she could work with Rebecca , who used to play her Pine Valley best friend/nemesis, Greenlee Smythe, and now plays GH's Hayden Barnes.
"Rebecca wouldn't be Greenlee, she'd be Hayden, so it would be very interesting," Minshew muses. "The dynamic would have to be different. But it's funny, sometimes you naturally have chemistry with somebody, and we would have to really tone our chemistry down in terms of how close we are."
Walt Willey (ex-Jack Montgomery) also told Soap Central he'd be game to resurrect Jack.
"I would love to do that!" he enthuses. "I used to give Maurice Benard [Sonny Corinthos, GH] a ride to work when he first started AMC as [Nico Kelly]. I've got a lot of old friends on that show, so sure, of course I would do it."
Meanwhile, both Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) and Michael E. Knight (ex-Tad Martin) told SOD they would also consider bringing their former alter egos back to life on GH.
"If General Hospital wanted me, I'd be all for it," Knight enthuses. "For sure, in a second I would do it."
As for Lucci, she says, "General Hospital has not asked me, but if they did, I would have to know what the storyline would be and that I'd be in the right hands. If they wanted me to do it, of course I would listen to them."
Vincent Irizarry (ex-David Hayward) hasn't commented on whether or not he'd be interested in reviving his former AMC character, but the actor was recently let go from his role as Days of our Lives' Deimos Kiriakis, and rumor has it he could be the first from Pine Valley to make an appearance in Port Charles.
As fans wait to see what the cards hold for AMC characters, they can look forward to Hillary B. Smith's upcoming appearance as Nora Buchanan; the actress makes her Port Charles debut on Monday, March 6.
Other Llanview characters that have visited GH since OLTL's ABC cancellation include Todd Manning (Roger Howarth), John McBain (Michael Easton), Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva), Starr Manning (Kristen Alderson), and Ta Delgado (Florencia Lozano). Cole and Hope Thornhart were also incorporated into the series (where they ultimately were killed off), as was Tomas Delgado, who was said to be GH's Lorenzo Alcazar.
