If you haven't heard, Katy Perry and a few of her gal pals went up to space on April 14, 2025. In true pop star fashion, Perry and the other five women, including Lauren Sànchez, Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianna Flynn, went up the Blue Origin in style. Sànchez was the one who organized the expedition and was also responsible for choosing the designers who designed the "astronaut" suits for the six women.

Lauren Sànchez, who is also Jeff Bezos' fiancèe, chose NYC-based luxury brand, Monse, to design the space suits. In honor of Blue Origin, the suits share the same blue shade. According to The Times, the suits are made of polyester and "flame-resistant stretch neoprene". They were designed by Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, who are the co-founders of the brand.

More details about the Monse Blue Origin space suits worn by Katy Perry, Gayle King, and more

As mentioned, the space suits were designed and brought to life by the two co-founders of Monse. A day ago, Monse posted the all-female crew photo on their Instagram, where all six women donned their space suits.

Recently, Monse Maison uploaded a video of the women wearing their suits getting ready for lift-off. Lauren Sànchez was the first to show them the suits. Monse captioned the post:

"In a realm once reserved for men, MONSE reimagines what it means to take up space. Designed exclusively for @blueorigin’s all-woman crew, these custom flight suits mark a new chapter—where femininity and strength ascend together." - @monsemaison wrote.

The suits were made of "flame-resistant stretch neoprene" and are two-toned. The bodice of the suit is made of a cobalt blue shade, while the side panels are a darker shade of blue. It is skin-tight with a zip closure and a slight flare at the bottom.

Other design details on the suits include a patch of the Blue Origin NS31 logo on the left chest, and the woman's name tag on the side in black with letters. On the right arm, there is a Monse tag, and the right leg has "BLUE ORIGIN" written on the side. As for the other side of the pants, the feather logo representing Blue Origin can be seen.

It also has a black belt around the waist and what looked like vertical slits for pockets on the front.

The journey of the first all-female crew, which Katy Perry was a part of, took off from the West Texas Launch Site One at 9:30 a.m. EDT or 1:30 a.m. GMT. The flight lasted for 11 minutes, including the launch of Blue Origin to the landing.
