The FW25 Paris Fashion Week saw multiple footwear collaborations that merged design advances with manufacturing expertise into cutting-edge works. Joining forces with influential designers became a strategy that led various brands to create collections that combined performance elements with contemporary style formats.
The event showcased seven remarkable partnerships which will be covered in this summary.
1. AURALEE x New Balance T500
During Paris Fashion Week 2025, AURALEE presented a joint New Balance initiative focused on the T500 model. The T500 tennis shoe entered the market in 1982, but New Balance designers recast it with high-quality materials and a simplified style.
AURALEE's collection offers two different color choices: brown with a gum sole and cream. The shoe features perforations in the toe area for proper breathability and contains AURALEE x New Balance co-branded insoles. This product line will hit the market during the Fall/Winter of 2025.
2. Pharrell x Adidas Jellyfish
The "Jellyfish" sneaker was presented by Pharrell Williams, who collaborated with Adidas in Paris Fashion Week 25. This new model features a chunky runner silhouette, with a breathable mesh upper complemented by geometric overlays and prominent Three Stripes branding.
The design includes unique touches such as "Jellyfish" branding on the tongue and nods to Pharrell's home state of Virginia. The sneaker has been showcased in two colorways: a combination of white, off-white, orange, and black, as well as an all-gray version. A release is anticipated in Summer 2025.
3. Aries x Puma Mostro
There was a 2024 partnership between Aries and PUMA as they reworked the traditional Mostro silhouette. This Aries x PUMA Mostro AC Arise combines mesh fabric with neoprene and suede trim for an interesting woven design.
The design integrates elastic material through an adjustable toggle at the rear to achieve both a comfortable fit and a fashionable style. The Aries column branding extends on the tongue as reflective elements that create unique visual appeal. This shoe keeps its original rubber outsole equipped with spikes to preserve the Mostro appearance. During the Paris Fashion Week, this collaboration was unveiled.
4. Jae Tips x Saucony Jazz 9
Jae Tips presented the Jazz 9 "I Love You But I'm Busy" Saucony collaboration in Paris Fashion Week 2025. The latest model sports a diverse spectrum of pink and yellow and teal and earthy tones which appear across its suede and mesh upper. The heel warns of the shoe's dual nature through its "I love you" embroidery on the right foot and the concluding message "But I'm busy" on the left side.
An additional element is Jae Tips' flower logo on the shoe as a hang tag with a hot pink treated mid-foot portion. The joint venture between Bad Bunny and Adidas will be available in 2025 without an official schedule.
5. Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS
Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS presented their new split-toe collection during Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025. The collection paid tribute to the heritage ONITSUKA Marathon Tabi shoes from 1953. It consisted of two low-top sneakers and three boots with a distinctive tabi toe design. The joint venture between Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS maintains its focus on revolutionary footwear designs.
6. Sacai x UGG
During Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025, sacai presented a UGG footwear collaboration which included three styles: the plush hiking boot, the soft loafer, and the knee-high boot with shearling details. The hiking boots of the collaboration were released in black and brown with wool from UGG placed on the tongue and supported by sturdy laces and leather elements.
The loafer design from this collection incorporated UGG's plush material in its collar and vamp section. These knee-high boots featured a sophisticated rear buckle system which enabled the upper part to drop for exposure of the substantial shearling area. Since the 2018 collaboration sacai has reunited with UGG to produce this collection.
7. COMME des GARÇONS Collaborations
COMME des GARÇONS HOMME presented their New Balance collaboration on the 509 model during the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 event. Two different leather designs form the minimalist collection: one is all white with subtle grey touches, and the other is dark grey, black, white, and metallic silver.
The two designs present contemporary clean lines that maintain a connection to COMME des GARÇONS' modern minimalistic style. New Balance will launch the sneakers in late 2025.
A combination of innovation together with style and functionality characterized the footwear partnerships introduced at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025. The fashion week collaborations between COMME des GARÇONS X New Balance, sacai X UGG, and Kiko Kostadinov X ASICS presented distinct design features such as basic leather sneakers and toe-split and tabi-themed styles.
The collaborative project between Pharrell and Adidas brought us the "Jellyfish" chunky runner and at the same time, Aries and Puma reinvented the Mostro through the addition of suede and neoprene elements.
Such collaborations continue developing the boundaries of sneaker culture through their presentation of original distinct designs that represent the modern developments of fashion crossing over with footwear.
