Gal Gadot has expressed her interest in stepping back into the role of the Evil Queen. Disney's Snow White live-action remake recently struggled at the box office. Amid this, Gadot shared that she would "love" to reprise the character if the studio decided to work on a spinoff.
The actress spoke to Us Weekly at the Women's Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala, where she received the Hollywood Icon Award. Gal Gadot was asked whether she would return as the Evil Queen. According to the outlet, she said that she would "love" to do it. She also added a message for Disney CEO Bob Iger, stating:
"Tell Bob. Bob, I will do that."
Netizens were quick to react to Gal Gadot's statement. One social media user said,
"Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen again would be the worst decision Disney ever made. Her acting in Snow White was flat and forgettable and the movie already bombed hard. People are sick of her pushing politics everywhere and nobody wants to pay to see that face on screen for another two hours. Bob Iger needs to kill this idea right now and move on to anything else."
Internet reactions to Gal Gadot revealing interest in returning as the Evil Queen
Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to post that,
"Gal Gadot tells US Weekly that she would love to reprise her role as the Evil Queen."
Netizens did not wait long before jumping into the comment section of the X post as they penned their thoughts on Gal Gadot's latest revelation regarding the Evil Queen character. Below are some of their remarks:
"Actually, roles fit an actor so well that it feels unfinished when they only get to do it once. She brought a kind of calm, sharp, elegant wickedness to that character the type that does not need loud shouting or overacting to leave a mark. You can tell she enjoyed the role too. It’s rare when an actor says they loved being the villain, because playing a villain takes a different kind of mindset. You have to show darkness, jealousy, insecurity, and power all at the same time, and still make people believe you.", stated an X user.
"crazy thing is that you would think gal gadot would be great for the role of “evil queen”", commented another.
"Gadot is definitely keen on reprising her role as the Evil Queen in a potential Snow White spinoff😏 She told US Weekly, and I would love to do that. Yes. Tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I will do that." While the film didn't exactly set the box office ablaze, Gadot had fun playing the villain and even sang her own version of "All is Fair" - no lip-syncing here! Given the mixed reviews and financial performance, a spinoff seems unlikely, but you never know 😄", noted a third.
Others also chimed in:
"Her version of the Evil Queen was one of the best parts of the whole project", lauded a netizen.
"We already have Taylor Swift giving us enough mediocrity in this world, we don't need more pls 😭", declared another.
"Why is she out there threatening us?", penned a third.
Gal Gadot played the Evil Queen in the 2025 live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1937 animated classic. It was also starred by Rachel Zegler and directed by Marc Webb.
