Sweet Bobby: A Catfish Nightmare is Netflix's latest true-crime scammer documentary.

It sheds light on the case of Kirat Assi—a victim who was catfished for over a decade—who taking the internet by storm. Assi's story of her relationship with ''Bobby Jandu'' and their subsequent ''relationship'' reveals an intricate web of years of catfishing and identity theft.

Kirat was catfished by her cousin Simran Bhogal, who stole the identity of Bobby Jandu, the husband of Sanj Jandu, while the couple were unaware of this.

After 10 years, Kirat discovers that her online relationship with Bobby is fake. She gets this shocker when she ends up at his place, where he lives with his wife and their children.

Sanj Jandu is the wife of Bobby Jandu, the victim of the identity theft. Reliving Dwight's words, ''Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!'' from The Office, the Jandu's lives were turned upside down when Kirat landed on their doorstep.

Sanj married Bobby in 2012, and they have two children together. The couple was living a happy life until Kirat showed up in 2018, accusing Bobby of having an affair and deceiving her for a decade.

However, Bobby denied Assi's allegations and said he didn't know her. Sanj also came to her husband's aid, trusting him and their relationship. It was later discovered that Kirat was catfished by Simran, her cousin, who pretended to be Bobby online.

Sanj currently lives with her husband, their nine-year-old son, and five-year-old daughter in Brighton, UK.

She is also the author of a children's book, An Adventure A Day, about a child with a disability. The book is dedicated to her son who has cerebral palsy because she feels children's literature does not recognize disabled kids.

With a Master's in Pharmacy and a postgraduate Degree as an Independent Pharmacist Prescriber, she is a clinical pharmacist at WellBN and a Locum Independent Prescriber at e-surgery. Her practice is also set up in Brighton. Besides her medical career, Sanj is also a designer and traveler.
