Coldplay plans to perform in India in 2025 and announced the dates for Music of the Spheres concerts this Thursday, September 19. The band took to X (previously Twitter) and revealed they will host two concerts at Mumbai's DY Patil Sports Stadium on January 18 and January 19, 2025.
The concerts are part of the Grammy-winning band's ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour.
The outing kicked off in March 2022 and supports the band's ninth and tenth albums, Music of the Spheres and Moon Music. The ninth album was released in October 2021, and the tenth album will be released on October 4, 2024.
The general on-sale for the tickets to Coldplay's Mumbai concerts will begin at 12 p.m. IST on Sunday, September 22.
People interested in attending the concert can reserve their seats by booking tickets exclusively through the BookMyShow website or mobile app. Tickets, starting at over ₹2,500, will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

The tickets going for ₹2,500 cover seats located at the extreme corners of the stage, which may offer disrupted views of the band's stage performance. Other tickets offering better viewing experiences can be availed at ₹3,000 and onwards.
The standing floor tickets will cost over ₹6,450 and allow attendees to stand right in front of the stage behind the safety barricades. People looking for a more premium experience can purchase Lounge tickets for the top price of ₹35,000.
The Lounge tickets offer a better viewing experience with elevated decks and access to dedicated entry lanes, restrooms, parking, and drop-off areas. In-seat premium beverage and food services are also included with the Lounge tickets.
Fans attending Mumbai's Music of the Spheres concert can expect to witness the band performing hits from the Music of the Spheres album. The concert setlist may feature performances on - Music of the Spheres, Higher Power, Humankind, Let Somebody Go, People of the Pride, and more.

Coldplay last came to India in November 2016 for the Global Citizen Festival and performed at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai. At the time, the band was performing at venues across the globe for their 'A Head Full of Dreams Tour.'
The tour began in March 2016 and concluded in November 2017. It supported the band's seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams. The 114-date tour was the third-highest-grossing outing of all time and secured a total revenue of over $523,033,675.
