Shaun Weiss, best known for The Mighty Ducks, has offered to help former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase. The offer came after a viral video showed Chase homeless and living on the streets of Riverside, California.
He shared a video on Instagram in which he said that he has a bed ready for him at a detox and a place for his long-term treatment at Eleven 11 Recovery Center in San Clemente, California. He urged his followers to contact him in case they spot Chase. He added:
“All we need to do now is find him. I’m not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself.”
Concerns for Chase grew after the former star of Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide was found roaming on the streets of Riverside.
Weiss has maintained sobriety for the past few years after overcoming addiction and homelessness in the late 2010s and early 2020s. He is currently working as a stand-up comedian. He also performs at events and engages in occasional acting.

Weiss started his career at the age of six after his parents responded to a newspaper advertisement that landed him a role in a Jell-O commercial with Bill Cosby. He made his onscreen debut in the TV series Pee-wee's Playhouse, where he played the character named Elvis.
Shaun Weiss’ breakout role came when he was cast as the lovable goalie Greg Goldberg in the 1992 Disney film The Mighty Duck. He continued to make appearances in shows like Boy Meets World, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Freaks and Geeks.
In an episode of Addiction Talk, Weiss shared that his troubles with addiction began when the lease ran out on his apartment, and he went through a painful split with his then-fiancée. He said:
“It was an instant relief. I stayed chasing that next fix. I had gone down such a spiral I didn't know what to do to get myself out of it.”
He said that he lost his possessions, including his cell phone, which broke his contact with his friends and family. Describing his January 2020 arrest in Marysville, California, Shaun Weiss said that he was in horrible shape and thanked the Yuba County Sheriff’s deputies for saving him.
His arrest was followed by court-ordered rehab and a drug court program, which marked the beginning of his recovery.
