Cameron Boyce passed away on July 6, 2019, at just 20 years old. The late Descendants actor's untimely death was caused by a seizure due to his epilepsy diagnosis. It has been six years since his passing, but his former Descendants' co-stars still remember him every year. Every year, a few actors Boyce was close with would pay tributes to him on his death anniversary.

These actors include Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, and Sarah Jeffrey. Carson took to Instagram to post a black and white photo of herself, Dove, Booboo, and the late actor in a hug. She wrote:

"Our Angel. Forever."

Booboo Stewart commented two eagle emojis on Carson's post and reposted the photo to his stories. Sarah Jeffrey, who played the role of Audrey, reshared an old post from 2014 on her stories. She wrote:

"On a BC ferry headed to Victoria to shoot more of Descendants. Life is good. Miss you Cam," while the original post had no caption.

Dove has not posted anything about Boyce's death anniversary. Five weeks ago, the Liv and Maddie actress posted three old black-and-white photos of herself and Boyce, including Booboo and Sofia. She captioned it:

"i still feel you all the time. catch you in the next life. happy birthday. i love you."

The Cameron Boyce Foundation

After Boyce's untimely passing, a foundation was set up in his name in 2019, in Los Angeles. According to the official website of the foundation, it states:

"The Cameron Boyce Foundation (est. 2019) honors the legacy of Cameron Boyce by aiming to cure epilepsy through funding research, education and awareness campaigns while still supporting causes that were important to Cameron."

In addition to the above goal, the foundation is also a shelter for creative and artistic people to turn to instead of engaging in violence and negative activities. The first project of the foundation is called Wielding Peace. It was officially launched on August 16, 2019. It donated $8,000 to the "Thirst Project," which aims to build wells in Uganda.

The motto of the Cameron Boyce Foundation was taken from Boyce's words:

"Leaders of tomorrow are fierce and unafraid."
