‘’This looks like it’ll be cool”: Fans react as new trailer for Kpopped starring Megan Thee Stallion drops ahead of August 29 release

Apple TV’s latest music show series, Kpopped, is launching on August 29, 2025, and fans are excited over one of its featured artists, Megan Thee Stallion, in a new trailer shared on August 25.

In Kpopped, Western artists will collaborate with their K-pop counterparts to perform their hit tracks in front of an audience in Seoul. Some of the participating K-pop groups include Kiss of Life, BILLIE, ATEEZ, Itzy, STAYC, and Black Swan.

Western artists like Ava Max, Megan Thee Stallion, the Spice Girls’ Mel B, Kesha, Eve, Patti Labelle, Boy George, Vanilla Ice, Emma Bunton, and J Balvin are scheduled to perform on the show.

In July 2025, the first trailer for Kpopped dropped, and the latest trailer, released on August 25, 2025, shows Megan in a white shirt and black tie as she says,

“Everybody knows that I was that b****, classy bougie ratchet, but they just ain’t know that in Korea.”

Megan continues:

"Seoul, Korea, the birthplace of K-pop. I love Korea. I love K-pop. It is so fire with the killer choreo, fresh looks and die hard fans. It exploded on the scene thanks to this guy.”

The scene cuts to popular Korean Musician PSY, who says:

“PDY here, the man who helped bring K-pop to the world. Now we are bringing the world to K-pop. For the first time ever, the most iconic songs of all time will be reimagined with kpop twist right here in Seoul, Korea."

@PopBase shared the new trailer on X and @bangtangbaby000 tweeted in response:

“This looks like it’ll be cool.”

More fans react as Megan Thee Stallion appears in new trailer for KPopped show coming soon

Fans and Netizens expressed their excitement for the intersection between K-pop and Western music:

“Can’t wait! August 29th is going to be fire for K-pop fans,” @sult01111 gushed on X.
“There’s a pulse to this trailer that sticks with you. Feels like music you can step into,” @jordimoffocial1 added.
“Looks exciting, can’t wait to see it on August 29th,” @bmx_ai_13 tweeted excitedly.

Some Netizens were not impressed by the news and thought that Megan Thee Stallion was taking advantage of the growing popularity of K-pop culture:

“Larping on culture,” @XGinsu stated.
“Anything for relevance, I guess,” @SinaMm added.
“She really is deep in the side hustle business,” @obvioyuh expressed.
