"The addictions that I had .... blew our marriage": Keith Urban's confession resurfaces as couple reportedly split after 19 years of marriage

Hollywood's power couple, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, have reportedly decided to part ways after 19 years together. The couple got married in June 2006 and has two children: Sunday Rose, who is 17 years old, and Faith Margaret, who is 14. According to sources who told TMZ, Urban and Kidman have been living separately "since the beginning of summer."

As the separation news is making rounds on the internet, an old video where Keith Urban shared how he almost broke their marriage one time also resurfaced. The video featured a speech Keith made at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award, where Kidman was presented with the award. Keith was holding back tears as he said:

"We got married in June 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, the addictions that I had done really nothing about blew our marriage to smithereens... I went into the Betty Ford Center for three months. Four months into a marriage, and I'm in rehab for three months with no idea what was going to happen to us."

The camera pans to Nicole Kidman as she is also holding back tears. Keith continues by saying:

"And if you want to see what love in action really looks like, give that a whirl. Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love. And here we are tonight, 18 years later."

According to an exclusive interview with TMZ, an insider source revealed that the decision to separate was not mutual and rather one-sided. They shared with TMZ, saying that Nicole has been taking care of their two teenage daughters and:

"holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone."

Another source also revealed that Keith Urban was the one who chose to move out, saying:

"Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home."

The source explained that Nicole Kidman does not want to get a divorce and is trying to hold the marriage together. While the couple is said to have been living separately for some time, it is unclear whether they will move forward with the divorce process.
