The Set Decorators Society of America has officially announced the nominations for its SDSA Awards for Film for the previous year. The Set Decorators Society of America nominations feature notable works across four film categories: Contemporary Feature, Period Feature, Fantasy or Science Fiction Feature, and Comedy or Musical Feature.
Set Decorators Society of America Awards' 2024 winners were as follows,
- Best Film: A Complete Unknown
- Best Contemporary Design: Conclave, set decoration by Cynthia Sleiter with production design by Suzie Davies
- Best Period Design: A Complete Unknown, set decoration by Regina Graves with production design by François Audouy
- Best Fantasy or Science Fiction Design: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, set decoration by David Morison, Lori Mazuer, with production design by Mark Scruton
- Best Comedy or Musical Design: Wicked, set decoration by Lee Sandales with production design by Nathan Crowley
This year's Set Decorators Society of America Awards nominations saw notable projects such as Jay Kelly, Hamnet, One Battle After Another, Sinners, Frankenstein, and Superman appear across multiple categories. The winners will be officially announced on February 21, 2025, in Los Angeles.
Set Decorators Society of America's official website reads:
"The Set Decorators Society of America, an international nonprofit professional association, has promoted excellence and preserved the legacy of the art of set decoration in motion pictures and television since its founding in 1993. We are dedicated to the preservation of the past, the celebration of current achievement, and ensuring a successful future for those entering our profession."
