Prime Video has officially commissioned two sequels, Your Fault: London and Our Fault: London, based on the success of My Fault: London. The movies will cap the British version of Mercedes Ron's bestselling Culpables trilogy. The news confirms the sequels will pick up the story of Noah and Nick, with actors Asha Banks and Matthew Broome reprising their roles.
Production of the first sequel will commence in May 2025, and the two movies will be streamed globally on Prime Video. This move follows the positive reception of the original movie, released in February 2025, which is itself a remake of the Spanish-language hit Culpa Mía, according to Deadline and Amazon UK.
The Culpables Trilogy and its adaptation
Mercedes Ron’s Culpables trilogy is a highly successful young adult series that has already enjoyed great success with Spanish-language film adaptations. The British adaptation started with My Fault: London, a love drama about Noah, a teen who relocates from Florida to London and enters a complicated relationship with her stepbrother Nick.
My Fault: London premiered on Prime Video in February 2025 and features Asha Banks and Matthew Broome. Prime Video’s move to adapt all three books into English-language movies aligns with the trend set by the Spanish originals.
The Spanish versions, beginning with Culpa Mía, have been among the highest-viewed non-English language movies on the platform, with sequels Culpa Tuya and Culpa Nuestra following suit and drawing huge viewership. The British versions aim to follow that path, taking the story to a broader global audience.
The upcoming sequels of My Fault: London
The two sequels, Your Fault: London and Our Fault: London, will pick up where the original left off. According to Prime Video, the films will cover the second and third books of the trilogy, respectively. Production on Your Fault: London is set to begin in May 2025, with Asha Banks and Matthew Broome both confirmed to reprise their roles as Noah and Nick.
The sequels will explore the evolving dynamics between the leading characters as they navigate new challenges. In the second installment, Nick starts working at his father’s law firm while Noah heads to college, with new characters and conflicts entering their world.
The 42 production company, which produced the original adaptation, is behind the sequels as well. The films will be available in more than 240 countries and territories as part of the Prime Video subscription.
Impact and worldwide reach
The greenlighting of the My Fault: London sequels is a testament to the significant impact the Culpables franchise has had on global audiences. The original Spanish-language films reached the top 10 in more than 190 countries, including major markets like the US, UK, Australia, and India.
The British adaptations are expected to achieve similar reach, as Prime Video continues to distribute the films globally. The franchise’s popularity is further underscored by record-breaking viewership numbers. For instance, the Spanish film Culpa Nuestra garnered 163 million views across platforms within a week of its teaser release, according to independent data.
By translating the trilogy into English for global audiences, Prime Video is expanding the narrative’s reach while capitalizing on growing interest in international content.
In short, the official greenlighting of Your Fault: London and Our Fault: London marks a major milestone for the Culpables franchise. With production already underway and a worldwide release planned, the My Fault: London sequels will continue the story of Noah and Nick for a global audience.
