Actress Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about her aversion to dogs. The actress sat down for a conversation with Josh Horowitz at 92NY on January 7, where she discussed her new movie, Die My Love. In the movie, Lawrence's character shows her repulsion from a canine. However, the Oscar-winning actress has the same phobia of dogs in real life.
During her Wednesday interview, Lawrence said that once her pet dog bit her son, she gave the pet to her parents. However, the actress later revealed that she brought home a cat.
Jennifer Lawrence went on to express her anger over the canines after her pet had bitten her son.
"One of them bit my son, and that made me just wanna obliterate every dog. I'm just like, 'I'm gonna take out you and your fu**ing family. You and your friends. I'm gonna go to China and take care of your friends over there. Anyone who looks like you is dead,'" the actress stated.
The X-Men alum said that the incident unlocked her fear of the dogs, and she started seeing them as a "threat."
"It's almost like I don't recognize dogs right now, like I just see them as a threat," Lawrence added.
The actress also opened up about how she feels for her cat named Fred. Jennifer Lawrence said that cats are often misunderstood by people.
"They're so misunderstood. They are a**hole and people who don't like that about cats aren't getting that that is what is so funny," Jennifer Lawrence commented.
Jennifer Lawrence discusses anxiety over intimate scene filming
While discussing her movie Die My Love with Josh Horowitz, Lawrence recounted the experience of doing an intimate scene with Robert Pattinson on the first day of the shoot. The actress said that she was not acquainted with Pattinson when the shoot began, which made it simpler for her.
"It was actually easier that way because Rob and I did not know each other, which is kind of better, you know?," she recalled.
The actress contrasted the situation with The Hunger Games shooting, where she had to kiss her friend Josh Hutcherson. Jennifer Lawrence found it preferable to shoot intimate scenes like that "with a stranger."
Die My Love was released on November 7, and the actress received a nomination for Best Actress at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, which are scheduled to take place on Sunday.
