Ellen DeGeneres is facing a lawsuit following an alleged car collision in California.
According to the documents obtained by TMZ, a female driver claimed that the former talk show host blew past a stop sign and collided with another car back in October 2023.
The driver, who says in the filings that she was driving her Tesla, was approaching the intersection in Santa Barbara County when she stopped for oncoming traffic. She also claims that the area around the crossroad was well-marked with signage.

Per the documents, the complainant claims that while she was proceeding through the intersection, her car was unexpectedly T-boned by DeGeneres' car, resulting in her injuries.
The woman driver further alleges that the comedienne didn't stop despite the signage, and she's now suing Ellen DeGeneres for negligence and seeking unspecified damages.
Ex-cameraman on The Ellen DeGeneres Show comes forward with new grating claims: "It was all loyalty to the show, but no loyalty to staff"
Ellen DeGeneres has encountered a continuum of scandals in the last few years.
As a matter of fact, the car collision accusation comes in the long tail of a former cameraman stepping forth with claims about her eponymous talk show's alleged toxic environment.
Speaking to the Daily Mail last August, he alleged that once, an employee was urged to reschedule his kid's surgery, detailing:
“The kid had a major surgery — like a bone marrow transplant. This was a person pretty high up. This person was asked if they could move the procedure around the Christmas holiday week, for Ellen.”
The ex-cameraman added that his colleague, despite being a high-ranking producer, complied with the request, noting that the former host knew about the incident.
"It was all loyalty to the show, but no loyalty to staff."
In another claim, he said that Ellen DeGeneres had nine stage managers for just one season, and supposed that the comic may have no liking for men.
“We went through a lot of male employees just in general. We had a feeling she really didn’t like guys.”
The former cameraman went on to claim that Portia De Rossi, DeGeneres' wife, was "nice" to the staff who worked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but could get in trouble if they were "caught having a conversation" with the Australian-American actress. He shared:
“You just hoped and prayed you weren’t seated by her wife, so you didn’t get her attention."
Further, he claimed that DeGeneres was "terrifying," who wore the so-called “Ellen gaze," which he compared to a "queen looking for her next execution."
