The Mo' Money actor married Thorner in 1984. After staying together for around 16 years, they divorced in 2000. According to a report by ABC News, she filed for divorce in August 2000, mentioning irreconcilable differences as the reason.

In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Damon Jr. talked about the resemblance between him and his dad.

"It's weird, 'cause even FaceTiming with him I'm like, 'Wow, we look a lot alike.

Damon and Lisa's second kid, Michael, was born in 1985. At the age of 9, he kick-started his career in front of the camera with Blankman (1994).
