Buster Murdaugh, 32, married Brooklynn White, his longtime girlfriend, in a luxurious ceremony at Coosaw Point, a riverside spot in South Carolina. The couple got married on May 3, 2025, in New York.
The news comes two years after Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of killing his wife, Maggie, and their youngest son, Paul Murdaugh. Since then, the lone survivor of the family, Buster Murdaugh, has moved on in his personal life.
Brooklynn White, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, entered law school after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Alabama.
According to the New York Post, she then returned to her home state to study at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a student from 2018 to 2021. While in law school, White worked as an intern for several law firms in South Carolina and also served as a tutor for criminal law.
After graduating from law school and passing the bar in 2022, she joined Lyles & Associates, a law firm where she practices in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
White had been present in the courtroom every day during Alex Murdaugh’s six week murder trial in 2023, she was seen comforting Buster. According to reports, she was dating him when he got the devastating news that his mother and brother had died at the family’s Moselle estate in June 2021.

Brooklynn White and Buster Murdaugh are thought to have first met when they were both students at the University of South Carolina School of Law. However, the specific timeline of their relationship has not been revealed.
She was also present when Buster decided to speak on his father’s behalf and publicly announce that he didn’t think Alex Murdaugh was capable of killing his family.
After the trial, Brooklynn White and Buster Murdaugh supposedly went into hiding. Brooklynn bought a condo in Hilton Head in 2021, and the couple had mostly kept out of sight since then.
The couple recently made headlines after getting married in an outdoor ceremony at Coosaw Point, a scenic property near Beaufort. Attendees were invited to a reception under a grand tent with blue and white florals, and both the bride and groom donned matching white outfits for the party.
The couple had several wedding registries, including a house project fund, as they are building a home together.
