Bella Hadid's sister, fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid, has long been friends with Taylor Swift. Their friendship reportedly dates back to 2014, per People Magazine, and several outlets have reported that the former has also been confirmed as one of the songstress' bridesmaids in her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.
“Gigi was thrilled and wasn’t expecting it,” a source told The US Sun. “Taylor wants to start the wedding process this way — building her bridesmaid group and getting everyone involved in the preparations, celebrations, and planning,” the insider explained. “She wants it to be fun and memorable for everyone, with parties, trips, and time spent together leading up to the big day.”
Taylor Swift also reportedly asked Selena Gomez to be her bridesmaid. She got engaged to the NFL star this past August, following two years of dating. She shared the news in a post on Instagram with the caption,
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
As of this writing, the pair have yet to share details about their nuptials, though Page Six has reported that it will take place on Taylor Swift’s $17 million Rhode Island estate sometime next year.
As for her song, The Fate of Ophelia, Billboard has reported that the track is now Taylor Swift's record-extending 14th leader of the Pop Airplay chart, having dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks. Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Rihanna reportedly share the second-most Pop Airplay No. 1s, with 11 each.
The track debuted at No. 8 on the October 18 chart, Billboard has reported, and it became the first title to ever debut in the top 10.
“‘The Fate of Ophelia’ allowed her fans to peek in the window of her newfound happiness,” Nadine Santos, Music Choice vp of programming and artist relations, told the outlet. “With her witty and creative approach to her song lyrics, it’s the Taylor we have all been waiting to hear.”
