During a recent appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show the singer opened up about her past romances revealing that she was "madly in love" with actor Val Kilmer before he left her.

When Stern asked the singer whether the men she dated "expect fabulous s*x" from her due to her status, she replied, "Yes, and they get it. You could tell by the reaction."

When Stern asked, "Who could ever leave you?", the singer opened up about her romance with Val Kilmer who was 13 years her junior,

"Few men, few men. Look, I was madly in love with Val Kilmer and he left."

When Stern asked why the actor ended their relationship, Cher said,

"Because sometimes you're only meant to stay with someone so long."

The iconic singer is currently dating model Alexander "AE" Edwards after meeting him at Paris Fashion Week in 2022. The couple made their relationship red carpet public at Versace's Los Angeles Show in March 2023, and despite breaking up in spring, the couple have gotten back together and are going strong.

More about Cher and Val Kilmer's relationship

While speaking to PEOPLE in 2021, Cher looked back on her relationship with Val Kilmer, recalling the first time they met.

'I met him at a birthday party my friend was having for me. She said, 'I invited this guy and I think either you or my friend who's an editor will like him. We became friends because we laughed at the same things constantly. He would sleep over and it was just a friendship (at first). That took a long time. Well, I gueess not really a long time."

The singer added that their age gap of 13 years was a "bigger deal back then." The singer revealed that the two used to call each other "Sid" and "Ethel" and "Valus Maximus" and "Cherus Reprimandus" since they didn't want to yell each other's names out loud.

Elsewhere, the singer said she had reached out to the actor after his 2021 documentary Val came out. She apologized if she did anything to hurt his feelings and called him "brave and beyond brilliant."

She also went on to praise him and called him a "true artist" and "Renaissance man." While speaking to PEOPLE, Cher also recalled the fond memories they shared such as buying a bunch of art supplies and doing art "all night long with the kids" on New Year's Eve.
